As you have all probably noticed when playing in some competition you get the form option. My question is, does form make any difference as to how the players perform in bowling or batting?

Also, it's kinda strang because bowlers never seem to have their bars increase in length while batters never decrease the length of their bars. Could this be a possible bug (my bowler has taken 5 wickets in a match yet he still does no have an increased bar)

Last question is, if form does effect the player, does a shorter bar mean their out of form or the opposite?

Cheers

like average I suppose

Ah all well and good if EA only bothered to put some more effort in so it made a difference.

This form thing really appeared quite random to me having no relation to how a batsman performed in the last match. Atleast thats how it happens with me. Dont know about bowling since I never ever bowl.

Bowlers try to get their bowling average as low as they can: Eg 20.
Batters try to get their batting average as high as they can: Eg. above 50.
So it makes sense I guess.

Seriously, I think EA has done this on purpose. I doubt it is a bug.
And I don't think the meters affect the actual form of each player.
Just say MacGill bowled absolutely crap and his bowling meter is really high, then when it is the next match MacGill could bowl really well.

EA didnt put much thought into it at all.

In EURO 2004 the players actually have morale that carries over according to how they play.

It works really well.

So if its low they play crap, or not as good as they should, if you manage to get a good performance out of them ( even though they suck ) then things start to change for the better.

Cricket should be the same.

If sport games want to advance and become better, EA should read these forums and they should realise that they could've done a bit more better on the game.
I totally agree with Madmattg with EURO 2004 players having morale, or form in Cricket 2004's case where the morale of the player is carried over to the next game and affects how they play.
In Cricket 2006, I hope the game will be more realistic.
And that includes the cardboard cut-out crowds... :D

Also, well done Madmattg on your 1499th post.

lol, cardboard cut out crowds. Some work they've done on it.
I though that was what the form really was, like a morale thing. Too bad it doesn't work.
EA should really get features working or just not put them there *sigh*

The game was good when it had the new kits and players but then we found out about the bugs which are equal to the new data in the game, which makes the game bad.
