Problems with control

I have a problem with my joypad. BLIC seems to think up is down and left is right and vice verse. And I cannot change any controls in the control setup. What is wrong? I can't even change the controls for keyboard. As soon as i click to chnage the contorls it goes back to the previous menu.

try recalabriating the controller via control panel, see if that helps
