Proxy somthing or other help.

When trying to sign into anything, like MSN, i am unable to do so.

I tried to run a help check with MSN and it says it has somthing to do with Proxy settings, i was wondering if anyone could help me to correct this, as its annoying me. Mainly as i cant log into MSN.

I'm not sure what would cause this without knowing the exact erro. , I'm guessing you dont have a proxy server (most people dont). It could be a firewall setting stopping you.

Try going to

http://webmessenger.msn.com/

See what happens

Also

http://messenger.msn.com/help/issues.aspx

is worth a look, it might give you clues.

Also try clearing the proxy settings for Messenger

a. Start MSN Messenger
b. On the "Tools" menu, click "Options."
c. Click "Connection," and then click "Advanced Settings."
d. Delete the entries under "SOCKS."
e. Click "OK" two times to save the settings.
