Even though Mushtaq Ahmed was the hero for Sussex against Middlesex with the figures of 9/68, one can hardly ignore Naved-ul-Hasan's all round performance after turning up figures of 7/96 following a 228 run partnership with Michael Yardy and a score of 139 runs. I haven't yet seen him bat in any cricket matches (they're hard to get here in the USA) he seems to be good enough with the bat where he can turn into a future all rounder for Pakistan (the calibre of Abdul Razzaq). What do you guys think of this?

doubt it lol, i dont think he made good scores vs india / aus, county is not international standad

From him saying he used to be an allrounder, but instead he was told to focus more on his bowling. And so he did.

And Rana and Mushtaq Ahmed ripping through most of the batting orders lately. And just the two of them. Middlesex had six consecutive ducks in their second innings.

I hope he can he can be a good allrounder.

How would he rate against Warne and Vettori. These two are right on the edge on being all rounders than bowling all rounders.

No doubt Warne and Vettori are better than him, but that's exactly my question, do you guys think he can be as good as them, or better yet be of the caliber of Razzaq and Kallis in a few years time?

He really works hard, but is not a wordl class bowler

I think he is on the right path though. Look at his stats from the past 20 ODIs:

Mat O R W BB1 BB2 Ave Econ SR 4w 5w
20 171.1 907 40 6/27 4/29 22.67 5.29 25.6 1 1

He can't be that young, he looks mid 30s.

Sussex scored 500+ on the first day of that county game he scored the hundred in :clap

No way is he a future all-rounder. He got one score of 100+, dont get ahead of yourself!

LOL, no way!

He's just a pace bowler, and thats it...

Correction: A promising pace bowler

If I remember correctly, in the last VB Series Rana Naved batted well against the Aussies. Correct me if I am wrong, but didnt he make scores of 29 & 20 against the Aussies. Probably not an all-rounder, but can become much like Irfan Pathan. A pace bowler who can hit the ball.
