Correction: A promising pace bowler

If I remember correctly, in the last VB Series Rana Naved batted well against the Aussies. Correct me if I am wrong, but didnt he make scores of 29 & 20 against the Aussies. Probably not an all-rounder, but can become much like Irfan Pathan. A pace bowler who can hit the ball.

Pathan is alot younger than Rana, and he still has tonnes of time to get better, and surely will get better. Right now Rana is a better bowler than pathan, but pathan is a better batsman..

Hey, he's not an all-rounder and also I don't think he'll be even in future either. He's a great bowler for Pakistan though. He scored a hundred in first class; it doesn't mean he's an all-rounder because also Anil Kumble from India has scored few hundreds and fifties in first class cricket and they?re not all-rounders. They?re just bowlers who can hit the ball just like Pathan. That?s all.

Anil Kumble scored centuries against Indian domestic teams, while Rana scored a century against an English county team. There is a huge difference in the standard of both the circuits. But yes, it is highly unlikely that Rana will become a all-rounder.
