I was taking a walk after lunch and saw bunch of college kids with a cake. One of the female was dressed nicely and I assumed it was her birthday. Suddenly a guy from that group came over and asked 'Uncle. Do you have matchbox ?' I shook my head and moved on without looking anywhere else. SO many thoughts came to my mind-

Do I look like I smoke ? Why else would he have asked me for matchbox ?
And boom it hit me. The guy called me uncle. Uncle. The hell ? Do I look old ? Or was it my formal dressing style ? Am I a grown ass man, now?

I tell you. This is a depressing day.

My interpretation of this is that the devil is so scared of you (scared because you're probably too pure to be corruptable) that the fact you end up being alive for one more day is a big headache/disadvantage for him. So the phrase is asking you to be "that" person.

Of course, I could be totally wrong about it too.
