Here we are on a beautiful english day here at Trent Bridge, the weather is warm, it's sunny and we have a very good batting pitch here today, whoever wins the toss will surely bat here and try to capitalize and make a big score, as it should die down a little this evening making it a little bit harder to score.

I'm here in the middle with Mark Butcher and Ryan Watson, which both look very eager to get out to the middle and get this game started.

Watson flicks the coin in the air and Butcher calls heads, it spins around and rolls half way down the pitch before it stops landing in favour of Butcher who politely tells Watson that he will be fielding first up.

Mark you have won the toss and decided to bat, can you tell us little about your strategy today " Yeah it was a good toss to win, the pitch looks like a great batting track and the boys are ready to go out there and post a nice big score if possible" thanks Mark and good luck.

Ryan get over here, you can't go yet, tell us about your strategy here today and what you hope to achieve? " well first off I would of like to bat here first and give Surrey a good total to chase but that's not the case, which isn't that bad of a toss to lose, as it should still be a good pitch this evening and I'm confident the boys can get what ever total Surrey throw our way. The main thing we want to take away from here is confidence, don't want to be low on that so early in this series". Thanks again guys and good luck today.

Thats a good attitude for skippers of teams like Scotland. They want to prove their best and don't want to feel low. Bangladesh is one best example where that team is getting better and better day by day.. Hope Scotland can also do that.

Good luck with this story! :thumbs

Surrey has a good Squad. Scotland have a good side they jsut have to bowl well first up

1/16
Surrey in big big trouble as they slump to 1 for 16 of the first 10 overs, things started superbly for Benning as he hit a third ball for six, but Scotland peg them back with superb bowling which gave Nel the breakthrough in removing Benning for 12.

OMG your graphical work is amazing. If you can keep this up this story will be very popular. However maybe have a bit more writing to go with your excellent graphics.

Good to see Scotland doing so well :)

2/72
Surrey claws there way back into this match after a dreadfuly slow start which was mainly contributed by Newman's lack of attacking cricket. Surrey stand at 2 for 72 from 25 overs, as Mark Butcher and Mark Ramprakash put on a 40 run partnership to give Surrey a glimmer of hope at posting a decent score to defend later in the match.
This slow start was contributed by a fine opening spell which had Surrey at 1 for 16 at ten overs, even though the run rate has picked up Scotland have only managed to give away a further 56 runs off fifteen overs, which has rewarded Nel and Maiden with a wicket a piece.
