Hm, I went looking for beavers for a stranger. Went up north to one of the rivers at night. On the way, some guy tried to steal my horse, I showed him who's boss. So I found a beaver, shot it, to find that anything more powerful than a pistol flinging vaporizes the poor things. Then I heard that terrible growl of a cougar. I thought "oh ████" and started looking in all directions. The ████ still got me from behind, but I shot him after I got up. So after searching randomly for about half an hour, I came up with two beavers, neato. After killing approximately 20 cougars, I heard something running up behind me. I knew what was coming, so I quickly spun around and shot. Oops. Turns out I kind of shot my trusty horse. Damn. It's lying there dead, so I skinned it, why not haha.
I decided to go a bit south-west, to the edge of the river down near Bearclaw Camp. I decided to take a quick route, so I went through Tall Trees. Heh. I saw a bear just sitting there, so I decided to shoot it twice in the head with my trusty Bolt-Action, then skinned it. After I was done skinning it, I saw another bear charging right at me, took that one out. Unfortunately, I ended up being chased by three bears at once right after that, and almost ran straight into a fourth right in front of me. By now I was absolutely shitting myself, and I managed to find an open bit of land with no trees, where I started launching Fire Bottles at the bears which worked a treat. I then saw two boars, which started charging at me. Damnit. I took both of them out, and skinned them, as I did need them for the Master Hunter challenge. Then MORE flinging bears came at me. In the end, I pissbolted. Do you know how frightening it is to be chased by three or four bears at once on foot? It's not fun.
So I finally made it around to the bit of river I was going to. Could not find a single flinging beaver. At all. I found about 30 wolves, but that's no fun.
So in the end, I accounted for:
- 2 Beavers
- ~20 Cougars
- ~30 Wolves
- 3 Snakes
- ~15 Bears
- 5 Boars (My one success)
- A flinging lunatic who tried to steal my flinging horse
- And finally, my flinging horse
