Run rate and New ball

What can you do when your in a Test match against India. There 88-4 after 98 overs. 98 blasted overs. It's so boring

Is there anything I can do apart from carrying on like I am at the moment

What's the best thing to do with a new ball. Against India I gave it to Harmison and Flintoff but nothing came of it. Would I be better giving it to a spinner next time :
