Shoaib likely to return after clearing dope test

They are two different bits of the argument.

Taking of the drug
Knowing what it does or not.

I thought Asif had denied taking the drugs? Or was that the 2nd time around?

Tbh though, I am completely bored of this whole drugs debate. I can't be bothered with it any more it is repetitive. Rather talk about the good side of cricket.

Unfortunately you don't get that with Shoiab. In all fairness you don't get it with much of the Pakistan team it seems which is a darn shame.

I think a more disciplined board would help. If a player knew he would never play for his country again, he wouldn't risk it. You can compare it to children and their parents. One child has strict parents who don't let them get away with anything, the other child is spoilt, gets away with things, etc. Of course not all Pakistani cricketers are like Shoaib and Asif. They are still the minority, but they are showing a complete lack of respect to their team-mates imo.

Totally agree, it is the opposite to the BCCI! Both boards are as bad as each other in differn't respects!

I am for him coming back to be perfectly honest. He is exciting to watch and I love to see batsmen ducking and weaving to avoid themselves from being hit. It's Test Cricket at it's best.

No matter what you think of the situation there is an aura around it, political instability and bombs going off. No matter where they are, and whether the cricketers are reasonable in thinking they might be in harm's way, it's generally better to be safe than sorry. In this case, sorry means dead.

We're going round in circles again. Where are bombs going off? At cricket grounds? In shopping malls? In residential areas? No. They (and not a lot in the first place, mind you) are going off at political rallies and the likes off. Somehow I don't see any cricketer during the CT strolling off to a political rally. The West Indies, whilst on tour here, did not stay cooped up in their hotel like a certain team, and instead went out, mingled and had fun.

I'm afraid you're completely in the wrong here; you have no real idea about the situation in Pakistan and have only fed off Western media reports.
