just wondering what u think of this topic........

personally......i think they should - gr8 example for younger kids in case they kill each other by bowling beamers

yeah i guess ur rite.......

but wat if akhtar/bond/lee is bowling at you...hits you on the end...u die....and so does cricket?

You might not die, the UAE captain got hit on the head by Alan Donald (who was faster then) in the 1996 World Cup and was fine, just a bit of a headache.

Head injuries are a very mysterious topic for even the best doctors.

Most batsman always wear helmets against fast bowlers now. But going back a bit, Viv Richards NEVER wore a helmet and he was one of the greatest.

Going back even further to when Batsmen never wore helmets, fast bowlers (with the exception of the bodyline tour) bowled a lost less bouncers than they do these days, so one theory is that helmets give the bowlers permission to bowl MORE bouncers.

i reckon ya must wear a helmet against all bowlers because kids will be to terrified if sumone gets hit in d head wiff out a helmet, and cricket will be half gone if sum1 did get hit in the head wiffout a helmet!

is the rule not compulsary rite now......coz i've seen sum batsman take their helmet off for spinners but neva for the quickies

It's never been compulsory, however I know that the ECB request that the England team always wear helmets against fast bowlers as kids will be watching and be influenced by them.

If I was a batsman I would defintely wear a helmet against Akhtar or Lee (for Lee I would opt for a Kevlar Armour suit) because u dont wont to die due to a fast bowler who put the ball right onto u r face (certainly I dont want Lee to be my murder)

how does harbajan singh fit the helmet on his head?   :P :P :P

i agree, does he hav to talk the thing off, if sum1 had a tiny head would they need a special made helmet?
