slowing down the game speed while playing on a laptop

as this query keeps coming up again and again, here is the solution (had posted it earlier but here it goes again)

goto power management in control panel. edit ur present profile (i.e. plugged in) there u will find a option named cpu speed change it to quiet mode from performance mode. save ur porfile under a new name. use the edited profile while playing c2k5.

hope this helps.

note unplugging ur laptop helps as by default in ur power profile when unplugged cpu goes to quiet mode as oppossed to performance mode in plugged in profile

yeah cheers mate - my laptop options were a little different but I got there in the end. I've got a few options on power management and the lowest one was too slow, but the next one up was too fast!! I finally got there by reducing the system settings ingame to the lowest. although this isn't the prettiest, at least i can actually play the game and judge on it. And up to now i think its definately an improvement in most aspects from Cricket 2004, theres just a few little little things such as the AI (improved but still not spot on), less grounds than 2004 etc etc. but all in all, worth getting as there's nowt better out at the moment.

in the screen u hv posted goto advanced and select always show icon on taskbar.
u will see a icon showing the plugged in symbol.
right click it.
there u can find options to edit ur profile.
rest of the steps u can follow from the above posts

tried the reinstall thing...no luck.

got that icon on the bar. right click and i get different profiles.....

home/office desk
portable/laptop
presentation
always on (the one im on now)
minimal power management
max batter
