If only it had been Australia, at least it would have been interesting to watch. I think South Africa should have actually tried to attempt the win. It was not impossible. It's less than four runs and over...which is becoming the norm in modern-day test cricket. This is why South Africa is not a very good team in my eyes.

It is very (and I mean VERY) difficult to bat on a day five pitch in Galle. 325 was always going to be difficult, and I think SA did the sensible thing in not losing wickets doing something extravagant.

South Africa are a decent side, but no where near what the aussies are.

Don't know why but I have never liked South Africa, so I was disappointed to see they played out a draw here. A good rear guard effort though to see out the 5th day

Perhaps it was...I didn't see the first two sessions but the commentators were talking about Graeme Smith's lack of conviction. he scored 70 odd runs from 200 odd balls and that's giving Dravid competition. Lastly, the two SA batsmen out there (Kallis and Rudolphe) did seem pretty comfortable batting.

Like I said before its not easy to bat on Sri Lankan pitches day 4 onwards, as the balls start turning by a huge amount.
