Speed issue

Hi im having trouble playing cricket 2004 the game seems to run very fast and i have no time to aim my bowling for instance. I live in the US and the game is not sold here, i had my copy shipped from the UK dont know if that can cause problems. any suggestions gladly welcomed

Turn all the higend options on
Play on 1024-768

Are you on a laptop?

I play on a laptop and when I don't have my optical mouse plugged in the game goes into this hyperactive mode.

Putting up the graphic options doesn't solve the issue for me, the game runs smoothly when batting, but as soon as the ball is hit and the camera changes the game creeps along. You may find this occurs too.
