I think we should not be able to pick averages our self.

Maybe say something like this
Pure Batsman= 45 bat, 90 bowl
Pure Bowlers= 15 bat, 25 bowl
Bowl All Rounders= 25 bat, 30 bowl
Bat All Rounders= 40 bat, 40 bowl
All Rounders= 35 bat, 35 bowl
Wicket Keepers= 40 bat, 99 bowl

what you say Jaz?
that would kjeep it fair :)

I think treva's idea is a good one, although perhaps we could also suggest a Star Batsman and Star Bowler whose average is increased/decreased by 3-5 in the appropriate column? That would help prevent teams of clones. Although, on the other hand, I like to have part time bowlers with averages of 45-65 and the like, and that wouldn't happen in that system. So I'm fine with either.

My averages are incredibly fair. Rudi, Crouch, Tuckett and Rudi are amazing, but the rest are fairly average.

I have decided to make the averages BECAUSE it might not be fair

so i will start creating them now:D
But Ryan Crouch and Rudi aren't just dobbly can't-bat-can't-bwol allrounders! Hell no! Ask anyone! They are beasts. And so are Bill Tuckett and Wavell Folkes! The others are poor, and it all evens out, check for yourself.
