Welcome to Planetcricket. First of all, this thread is in the wrong forum, it should be in the Cricket 2005 one. I own Cricket 2005 and I can confidently say that it's not 'crap' at all. It's very realistic and well worth a play.

Definitly not a crap game by any stretch of the imagination.... It's got a few annoying bugs, which could be fixed via an official patch or made more playable/tolerable via third party patches which should be available in due course....

IMHO the two most annoying bugs are:-

ODI bowlers bowling more than their allotted overs which has been around since CKT2002 and is getting to be a pain in the a**e.

The test match bug where you revert back to lunch on Day 1 when starting on day two...

...oh and don't buy the XBOX version.. you can't save during a match which basically renders the game ...useless!!!

I would recommend buying the PC version and then waiting for at least "third party" patches by the community these are really worth having, don't hold your breath for an official one though :

cricket 2005 is not a very good game but blic 2005 is going to be awesome.

Cricket 2005 is ok but too many bugs that stick out like a sore thumb. If these were fixed and some new features such as classic matches (like BLIC) and nets (are their nets because I'm not sure??) etc. But then again it does let you create a player it has Twenty20 and county teams. Some may say that these make up for the bugs but to be honest they don't.

Reviewing these 2 great games are easy..

Cricket 2005 is a reasonable game that is only really going to be good for the die hard cricket fan, so if you love your cricket the game is worth a buy.

As for BLIC, it's not out yet so don't listen to anything that anyone says, it may be the best and it may not be.

All these Cricket 2005 and BLIC fan boys are annoying, I have read several posts where people are saying BLIC is the best game ever, it ain't even out yet.

If I had to rate Cricket 2005 I would say a 7/10 and buy it if your cricket mad, if I had to rate BLIC off the demo I would give it a 5/10, but from the features I have heard of and a few other things the full game could reach a 7.5-8/10 IMO. I ain't a fan boy of any of the game makers, I just love my cricket...

Cricket 2005 is ok, but i just hate how i can't beat mid on and mid off when playing along the ground. Theere are some annoying points about the game like superfast fielders, fast outfield, bowlers not bolwing outside off stump, some shots seam useless but overall it's a decent attempt...lets hope their will be a 2006 which will bring us great gameplay!

Let's hope that before setting their sights on Cricket 2006, EA thinks about something very important: Patch #1 for Cricket 2005. And then further patches to fix the problems by the new patches.

c2k5 is a nice game the only things that bite are-
no controller options ( so u cant activate the vibra fuction in a rumble pad like me )
EA Trax - not enough ( and according to me only 3 are good enough )
Create A Player is'nt as detailed as Andew had said in this QnAs
No Option to edit exisiting players
Cant move the batsmen after the ball marker is set
small stadiums
ball seems to be heavy ( or maybe i m not good at batting yet )
fielders are too fast ( or maybe i am sick )
the faces of all players arent good n at times incorrect ( except licensed teams )

blc looks like acartoon in the demo and the kits are the wrong colours. england have got light blue and a light red kit. it is supposed to be dark blue and dark red

yes i agree with afridi , in blic the kits are wrong making me very unhapy.
