This team frustrates me so much. Has right from the word go, when due to Gilly's presence I pledged my allegiance to them. That first season, there was so much potential with batsman such as Gilchrist, Gibbs, Afridi, Symonds, Sharma and Laxman, and a decent bowling quarter with Vaas and Singh.

They of course got the spoon, and then the next year they win their first four games and barely scrape into the finals. So many games that we should have won, but choked with 5 overs left!

Then, upon reaching the finals we turned into a world class team, belting the top placed Delhi in the semi and scraping past Bangalore in the semi.

Six months later, we turned up at the Champions League, and were knocked out in straight sets. Once again, these were two losses we should have avoided. That Somerset game :facepalm Prevent 55 from 36 with 7 wickets down? Too much apparently. Not to mention the 8th wicket pairing added 50 runs and they one by one wicket :/

And then the next game. Seriously, chasing 150? 27 from 24 balls with 5 wickets left became 20 from 18 with, then 13 from 12 and 8 from 6 yet we couldn't do this, despite finishing the game with three wickets in hand.

And then, both of these games are at our home ground, in a country the opposition players haven't stepped foot in :/

And now this season, we promise so much and belt opposition, and then the next game we choke once again and stuff up simple chases or bowl full tosses at the death.

With so much firepower, WTF are they doing! Only Praghyan Ojha can claim to be consistent in this team, the others promise so much and fail to deliver.

Their team depends quite a bit on how Gilly goes. If he gets them off to a good start that usually helps the others. Sharma looks a bit low going by the last game, hes been in near the leading run scorers in the past IPL.

I am too quite disappointed on the performance of Gilchrist, Roach, Rohit and everyone in the team.Vaas and Ojha are fine but not brilliant.Wonder why they don't play Dwayne Smith and Ryan Harris in the XI. Or just Mitchell Marsh. Just sticking with that Kemar Roach :facepalm

IMO, Gilly has had a pretty poor tournament. He is not taking time to get himself in and looks to slog every single ball. Even if he allowed himself in he ould still smash a 50 off 30-35 balls. But it seems like he wants to make 50 off 15 instead. He just needs to be patient and the runs will come.

Even at best, he's looked a bit scratchy. I haven't seen much of him, but his keeping looks good.

Yeah. Even Gayatri has stopped coming for the matches. What a disappointment! :facepalm

Game over. Nohit Sharma is going to waste time here. Kthxbai DC. Hope you have a good IPL next yr.

The team just seems too low on confidence. Even with wickets remaining they lost last game.

Symonds' is gonna get less than half the salary he's been getting since the past 3 yrs.

Teams that were able to play together have won every time. RR, DC, now it should be MI. You could tell if they are together just by watching them on TV (or youtube). Looks like a team, works as a team. Teams that look all over the place aheeem KXIP, KKR will never be able to win or be consistent. They look very confused out there..

RR lost Warne's mojo, DC lost Gilly's

The Main reason why I'm not supporting DC is they are inconsistent. And I'm a lucky fella! When I supported 'em, I got them winning IPL!!!

DC have legends like - Laxman, Rao, RPSingh and you expect this team to win? It's same like CSK having legends like Balaji and Joginder. :p Mumbai Indians are the perfect example in getting a balanced team.

May be, DC needs Edwards and D.Smith back.
