Hain is a fantastic cricketer who would have made his debut long ago in any other side but England's tactic of having only one accumulator bodes ill for him until Root retires.

Adam Huckle was a very aggressive leg-spinner, who would generally bowl three leggies, two googlies and a pie in each over. Problematically though, he couldn't seem to take wickets in one-day cricket, where batsmen were prepared to wait on the bad ball and milk the rest.

This is actually a really generous Panesar, for Test flop he may have been, but Gavin Hamilton was an excellent white-ball cricketer. In the first-half of his career, he was a bowling all-rounder with good results. However, a severe case of the yips, possibly prompted by his Test debut horror show, resulted in a transformation to a specialist anchor-accumulator type batsman.
