The Luxury Players Draft​

Welcome to the Luxury Players Draft! A contest to pick the best team you can while also sticking to some of the quite restrictive ideas that have been shown off (mostly) by the England cricket team in the past few years. The sorts of selections we might call "Luxury Players".

Player Type	Example	Description
The Vanishing Opener	Zak Crawley	Pick an opening batter who averages 31 or less in the role.
The Team Superstar	Neil Johnson	Pick a player who will open both your batting and bowling.
The Specialist Captain	Mike Brearley	Pick a player who either played >75% of their Tests as captain without a hundred, five-for of being keeper or who played 100% of their Tests as captain.
The Batter with Potential	Jacob Bethell	Pick a player as a top six batter who doesn't have a first-class century.
The Specialist Number 7	Jos Buttler	Pick a player as a non-bowling, non-keeping number 7.
He's Got Long Levers	Jamie Overton	Pick a player at number 8 with a noted ability to biff the ball.
The Specialist Keeper	Mahidul Islam Ankon	Get back to the days when keepers were picked for their glovework. Must either have batted at 9 or below, or have a FC average of <20.
The One-Dimensional Player	Shoaib Bashir	You must have a finger spinner at number 11 with the lowest FC batting average in your team.

• Each player must only answer one of these rules at a time - if more than one applies, you must specify which you are picking for.
• You will also receive a secret quota (via PM) for that extra sprinkle of flavour. These could be things like "Bangladeshi teenagers", "players called Bruce" or "cricketing Prime Ministers". You will have to squeeze three of these players into your team, but these can also meet other rules. For example, Enamul Haque Jr could count as your finger spinner at #11.

As unhinged as this sounds, you can actualy build some really strong teams here.
