Aarrgh! Annoyed at the league match yesterday. One of those strange results. Took 262/5 on a green pitch, first problem, then was bowled out for 197. Ratings:

However, there were a couple of positives. First:

Fantastic innings, he was the only one to get anything over 30 let alone 100. God-like, everyone collapsed around him whilst he just played damn well. Just seen he was on Very Attacking as well.

His maiden OD century, he hadn't even scored any 50s before. Hes a hell of a lot more of a player than I originally thought he was (I bought him as a backup batsman!)

And teh other positive:

10/11/2006 Played a match and received ?110250 in gate receipts.

My team is in ruins at the moment. Absolute horrid. Lost two games which I should easily have won, and I'm now in 6th position, mainly because 7 and 8 are utter crap.

My team fitness is fatigued and my morale is hopeful.

I lost one I should have won too yesterday. He is a good team, but doesn't change his lineup much. But he must have logged in recently, cause he had a less Top-heavy batting lineup than he used too, and actually had his best bowler bowling in the death for once. And to top it off, must have GFI'd while I PAN'd. Lost by 13 runs.
Beh, we weren't going to promote anyways. The number one is a beast. It's a fight for number two. He'll only end up above me on NRR, so I'll have Crouch opening on V.Attacking, with Rudi, and Dennis, Butcher, Shipp, Gally, all on V.Attacking too. Try and bat first, carry a full-strength bowling lineup with Folkes, and GFI one or game against one of the crap teams anbd the final game of the season. Should help...
And Freddie, I saw you had the pitch on green. You can't get away being sneaky like that. I'll log in before school tommorow as well to check once again!!!

Sounds like a plan Zorax . My team is doing rather poor too. I'm losing a few matches in the lague and I'm currently 5th. My next 3 matches are against: 4th, 6th and 8th. I should thrash 8th and get thrashed by 4th, but 6th should be a tough battle.

Good news on the statistics front. I've completed the main bulk of the work, which was being able to enter matches into it. Whilst its not perfect, it works quite well, and at the moment I need a bit of a break from it anyway, so I'm designing the user interface.

What I'm going to be looking at is a system where people can look through teams and players individually, and look at previous matches.

The task I'm on at the moment is creating an admincp for it, and the first function is done, which is to completely reset stats.


And what do people think of the idea of adding comments to players etc? btw, its also looking likely you can integrate with vb a bit more so no separate login needed.

When I'm happy with the amount of work done, I'll put it up on the testing forum and let you guys loose on it.

I lost a game I was hoping to win, but would always be tight. They just got too many runs and I fell 15 short, Basson 70* at the end. He's my most consistent batter at the moment, 2 league 50's in a row, plus a unbeaten century against Sid.

Well, he did score 2 fifties in the same matches. 78* and I think 68. At a strike rate of around 95. So I guess it evens out really...
But he'll come back, like all legends do. And at the most critical time, at the biggest stage.

good news, by comments do you mean people can comment on other players, or the owner of the player (or you) writes a description of him?
