Hey hey hey! My team is good. I know I have weak spots - Batting and a decent fifth bowler being the main ones- but I am going to get those fixed by next season.
And Adarsh, 3 games between you an me, I won 2, you 1. So, basically, what I am saying is:

I just wish I could get in Div 1. My league in BT is extremely boring anyways, I want some tight matches.

True, I forgot to mention there it should have been any of a select bunch of 7 or 8 could beat anyone within that group, but still teams are always improving and shocks are not always an odd occurance in a game of cricket!

Yes you are winner of the league, but not champion, that is decided via the play-offs hence you are in green and not blue. Still though congratulations are in order for you Ste, the first league winner of the Battrick Championship Division 1, and I look forward to seeing what are bound to be a very exciting play-offs! Ste. you do go down as Division 1 Winner. The main benefit of that being the home play-off draw you will get.

I was also thinking that a random pitch for the semi-finals would be a good one too. It would give neither team an undeserved advantage and would of course make things more interesting.

And yes, the concept of random ground as well as pitch for the final was always planned.

Well you could say that theoretically, but on the whole, you were the stand out league winner, whilst the other 3 are very closely matched, so therefore it would be unfair to give you an advantage over the others.

This way we can see who really does have the best team out of the top 4 as they all deserve to be there and have proven it through the 22 games of the season. By having a pitch selected at random neither team will have the advantage unless of course a pitch suited to one of them is selected, which would purely be by chance.

Of course is anyone else has a problem with it being done this way, then please say so and myself and Chez may re-discuss it, but at this point, this is the way it will be done.

Hmm, just challenged the TT Lions. Now researching my choice of field (not that it will make much difference, see below )

Top Order:	mediocre	competent
Middle Order:	mediocre	mediocre
Lower Order:	woeful		abysmal
Seam Bowling:	mediocre	strong
Spin Bowling:	mediocre	proficient
Fielding:	feeble		mediocre

If it comes down to lower order strength, I might be in with a chance

Hmm, lets see, Zorax lost to Borncricketers on a green pitch...but borncricketers have much better bowling.

Been a good season, and its nice to be able to finish 7/8, the best of the rest Hopefully next season will be easier (shame the Spin has fluked out of relegation, still looking for revenge >), and I can get into playoff zone.

Any nominees for closest match of the season? This one maybe?

The closest match with a winner was Bushwackers and Pingers a few weeks ago. The pingers chasing fell short by 1 run in their 50 overs.

if not will the person randomly drawn at home have to change to the random pitch type?


as that could stuff up a league match depending on when the final is played
