The PlanetCricket Battrick Sledging Thread

wow playing Fredie for my first play off... i lost to them some time ago, soo it will be good to see what happens this week...I am sure it will be a very interesting match

Can we have a Vbookie betting thingy for the final promotion spot?

Got a pop after just putting this guy on nets last week :p

Danny Chavhanga - 17 yo, BT Rating=5,229
LH Batsman, LH Spin Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, energetic
A steady player with feeble leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: feeble Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: competent Concentration: respectable

hez looking like a good player, should be a good prospect for your team in the future

Hamid Barton - 17 yo, BT Rating=10,332
RH Batsman, RF Bowler, proficient batting form, superb bowling form, fair
A cautious player with superb leadership skills and worthless experience.
Stamina: competent Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: respectable Concentration: competent

I've given the fielding net to someone else now, I was more looking for concentration than anything.

I'm wondering whether to sell him. I'd love to hang onto him, but would his retail price be better for my team than his current and long term performance? Seems like he's worth a million.

He looks like he would be a decent to train up on the batting but I guess you have no more nets. Probably sell him if you have good backup batsmen already.

Couple of pops this week.

My new trainee, Frank Trench got a nice early pop.

Code:
Frank Trench - 17 yo, BT Rating=8,423
RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, low
A cautious player with abysmal leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: respectable Wicket Keeping: mediocre
Batting: competent Concentration: competent
Bowling: woeful Consistency: abysmal
Fielding: [B]mediocre[/B]

Code:
Marcus Fettis - 18 yo, BT Rating=22,684
RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, fatigued
A destructive player with worthless leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: respectable Wicket Keeping: woeful
Batting: respectable Concentration: [B]	feeble[/B]
Bowling: strong Consistency: [B]feeble[/B]
Fielding: strong

He's getting 3 bats, there's no doubt he'll be nuts if I hang on to him. Plus, there's the option of selling him age 18 or 19 (where do their prices peak? If I training him for a season, does his price grow disproportionately?)

Anyway, the thing is, for the price I might fetch for him, I could pull a lot of youths with more ITS than I used to get him. I could start the market play and provided I wasn't particularly unlucky, I'd be able to improve my team at a much better rate than I can now. However, I might be better leaving that stage for a few months down the track.

Two more pops for my youth talent this week!

Pradnesh Ahmed - 17 yo, BT Rating=10,410

Des Midworth - 17 yo, BT Rating=13,993
RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, energetic
A cautious player with abysmal leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: proficient Wicket Keeping: proficient
Batting: respectable Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: worthless Consistency: worthless
Fielding: feeble

Eamonn Alcock - 17 yo, BT Rating=13,178
LH Batsman, LFM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, invigorated
An attacking player with mediocre leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: respectable Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: proficient Concentration: worthless
Bowling: mediocre Consistency: proficient
Fielding: worthless

I know his concentration level is not up to par, so I've had him on one keeping net and one fielding net to improve his secondaries.

But, it seems as if only his consistency is popping, while his concentration remains the same.

Any advice?

Anyone think they could give me a prediction of how much a Superb/Quality fast or fast medium bowler with respectable+ secondaries would cost?

it also depends on his stamina.
a feeble/mediocre stamina player may cost you around 1.5M I guess.
Respectable stamina player may be priced for 2M.

hey pal i think you ned to put him on a batting net...

hilton popped in consistency thats all...

This man looks terrific now, with his new pop in concentration :

Phil Harley - 22 yo, BT Rating=50,736
LH Batsman, LM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, sublime
A defensive player with competent leadership skills and feeble experience.
Stamina: woeful Wicket Keeping: remarkable
Batting: mediocre Concentration: wonderful

Is he near the best wk-bat on PC? :)
