I was about to apologise and say it was unlikely for me to get a team out soon enough but then I got notified that my exam has been postponed… and now I’m back to square one. :D

I'm awaiting one more replacement player, but that doesn't affect Round 1, so we're ready to go!

Round 1
This is the specialist wicketkeeper round; if you nominated no WK here, it has been swapped here - @Disharies fyi.

I flipped a coin on random.org to determine these results. Heads is stick, tails is switch. A second RNG was done for the order of the swaps - I've not included 11 coin shots because that'd be murder but I have included the second RNG. Note that one thing from the second RNG has been changed, because you can't get your initial player in a swap.

Staying - Player List
@pillowprocter - :ned: :wkb: Violet Wattenburg
1705030348770.png
I'm going to assume that, while Violet Wattenburg seems decent by Netherlands women's cricket standards, she won't be what Procter was hoping to achieve here.

@ddrap14 - :eng: :wkb: Sam Billings
1705030563282.png
The ultra-aggressive Billings reflects a totally different approach from the prior nomination, but he's a player who should do a relatively good job with the gloves for me.

@Supreme General - :eng: :wkb: Tom Moores
1705030623995.png
"Nepo baby" might be a bit harsh about some of Tom Moores' game, as he has shown an ability to strike the ball, but he's not exactly great at first class cricket.

@Verified Enigma - :pak: :wkb: Umar Akmal
1705030959223.png
Now, this might work out, despite the fact that Akmal is not a good keeper. He has the potential to be used in a sorta "Travis Head from Wish.com" role, and there are definitely other keepers in the other ten rounds...

@Disharies - :wi: :wkb: Shai Hope
1705031318162.png
This is a player I rate pretty well. Hope at ODI level is a genuine star, probably the only one on WI right now, and if he could translate that into Tests to a degree - probably in a better environment - he'd be seen as an elite wicketkeeper batsman.

@CerealKiller - :pak: :wkb: Imtiaz Ahmed
1705031484759.png
Imtiaz was played at 7 pretty often as the wicketkeeper of the 1950s Pakistan teams. But, if reports of his playstyle and skill are to be believed, I think he could have been a quasi-Adam Gilchrist, opening the batting aggressively and keeping well.

@Yash. - :wkb: Paul Chin (Cayman Islands)

sorry

Swapping Player List
@Aislabie (via Icyman) - :aus: :wkb: Ian Healy
1705031677129.png
A great pull. Healy was an unknown on Test debut and spurned on retirement, but in between was a brilliant and underrated servant to the Australian team.

@icyman (via TV) - :zim: :wkb: Tatenda Taibu
1705031886840.png
Taibu was one of the outstanding Zimbabweans in the post-Flower era. He's got a very interesting story off the pitch, too.

@Viper. (via Aislabie) - :aus: :wkb: Graham Manou
1705031987542.png
The definition of a reliable first class wicketkeeper who seemed destined to be lumped with the likes of Berry and Seccombe before him, Graham Manou got his one Test in 2009 after Brad Haddin fractured his finger, and his four ODIs later that year after Tim Paine fractured his finger. Also looks weirdly like Alex Carey

@Till Valhalla (via Viper) - :eng: :wkb: Alan Knott
1705032123674.png
Knott was a bit of a revolutionary in terms of being a world-class keeper who could bat too - he and Rod Marsh really pioneered that. Also known for warming his hands before fielding

Expect round 2 to be Sunday or Monday
