As a batsman

Ashraful is vastly overrated as a batter due to his few brilliant knocks. I’d say they’re probably equal in terms of what they could offer over a period of time.

Ashraful had some good knocks when it mattered to BD. Like the 1st ever test match they played, the 1st ever time they beat Australia....

Staying Player List
@icyman - :wi: :bat: Brian Lara

Well, that's worked out pretty nicely. Is that the best retention yet?

@Supreme General - :aus: :bwl: Shane Warne
1706839647888.png
Well, no, because this is. RIP Warnie!

@Verified Enigma - :ber: :bwl: Dwayne Leverock
1706839758575.png
An all time great batsman, an all time great bowler, and an all time great fielder in the first three retentions! Leverock's portly nature can be explained by the fact he lived above a pizza shop.

@Disharies - :saf: :wkb: AB de Villiers
1706839838536.png
Another all-time great gets retained. Is this going to be five for five?

@Yash. - :eng: :bwl: Katharine Winks

I am quite happy with the batting power I have so far. Rohit, Puc , Lara.... Wonder if the bowling selections will go my way too! :grinning:

Swapping Player List
1706844545072.png

@Aislabie (via Till Valhalla) - :ind: :ar: Venugopal Rao
1706844616239.png
A true classic TV pick. Rao was very definitely a more first-class player than limited overs and may have played Tests in a different era.

@pillowprocter (via Aislabie) - :aus: :bwl: Brad Hogg
1706844693993.png
One of the most beloved figures in BBL history, Hoggy soldiered on until he was 47 in the Bash, remaining effective almost all the way through. He was less of a Test threat, but still a cool guy to have.

@ddrap14 (via Viper) - :nam: :ar: Gerhard Erasmus
1706844773544.png
Erasmus is undeniably the best Namibian ever. He's also undeniably NOT what I need when I already have Shane Lee and Grant Elliott. Oh well, RNG is RNG

@Viper. (via Procter) - :ber: :ar: Kamau Leverock
1706844981310.png
Either @pillowprocter and @Verified Enigma collaborated well or this is the greatest coincidence in recent history

@CerealKiller (via @ddrap14) - :aus: :bwl: AJ Tye
1706845157127.png
One of the most likeable Big Bash players, Tye is known for his staring contests with the camera, support of the Scorchers' pride round, and above all else, exemplary death bowling (had the Scorchers batted well, he'd have been a big reason why they won the first finals game this year with his dismissal of Matt Short).

@Till Valhalla (from CK) - :eng: :bat: Mark Ramprakash
1706845615696.png
Ramprakash was not good at Test level. But he's one of the best domestic players of the last 50 years, with 35000 first class runs. Handy addition
