The WICKET (Wacky International Cricket Knockout Entertaining Tournament) is the best international tournament ever thought of.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE:

Any international team*. You could take Turkey, or Australia, or anyone in between. Whichever team you select, you have to choose 15 players who have played an international match in the past 2 years and have not publicly announced their retirement. If less than 15 players meet this criteria, you'll have to make do with less than 15 players. Any amount of people can sign up, in the end I will add filler teams so we can have a nice power of 2 number of teams to do a proper knockout tournament.

HOW IT WORKS:

This is a knockout tournament, you could end up playing just 1 match (especially if you choose an associate) or playing 4+ matches and making a title run. Before the start of each round, I will give certain "effects" to randomly decided teams using RANDOM.ORG. These will make the result unpredictable and are designed to increase the chance of upsets. The recipients of the effects will be revealed at the end of the round.

WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS?

The following is a list of the effects:

MIRACLE EFFECT:

-All players in the XI will be rated +10 for the match
-All associate teams (+ Ireland) are eligible for this effect
-This effect will be given until the semifinals or until there are no eligible teams left, whichever comes first


PAK EFFECT:

-All players in the XI will be rated -10 for the match
-All full member teams are eligible for this effect
-This effect will be given until the semifinals or until there are no eligible teams left, whichever comes first


TAILENDER EFFECT:

-The team's batting order will be reversed
-All teams are eligible for this effect
-This effect will be given until the semifinals

One team cannot receive two effects in the same round.
