Things Members Would Want From Future Cricket Game

Hiya All

1)Well first of all since this server is new i cudnt find the topic of how to use the new kit replacer 9mb file... coz it says gob file not recognised......

2) how do u play reverse sweep? and when i save a game and comeback my lineup changes...... i understand it might have been mentioned somewhere.... but please urge members to keep topic specific......so navigation is easy and fast

3) Now here are somethings i would want in the 2006 or the next Cricket game in this series... feel free, members, to add on, and the administrators please forward it to EA.....

_ man is the umpire tall!!!!! the guys covers half the pitch! mebbe backup the view a bit with the same angle... i know theres one more camera but its not as accurate
_ the amount of statistics are less..... i mean there is no 3d panoramic view of the shots played....... for the deliveries that are appealed for lbw and turned down... there must be a replay of them and the line of the ball from the time delivered to the time it passes the stumps to show if the decision was right... just for realism ....
_most of all i think there should be an online updating system for player profiles like if they are performing well... the skill should be updated in the game by online updating.. i mean comeon stars arise in three months or in a single tournament even... so then why have them as an amateur in ur game? e.g. Irfan Pathan, Umar Gul, Yasir Hameed, Nathan Bracken and the new record of Brian Lara
_the type drives and shots must be altered a bit to suit the way the player plays in real life.... like tendulkar... i love it when drives straight and hold the bat for the cameramen.....
_if there is a play and a miss.... the bowler should have an extended follow through and a glare of sorts to the batsman!!!!
_where is the man of the match and series awards?????????


All these things are just some things i thought would be fun... not a complain.... so please dont start saying be thankful to Lord that u are atleast playing a cricket game.... i am thankful to Lord that there is a monoply.... no doubt about it.. this is just a fun and creative test for all members that hopefully EA will find useful!!!!

I will keep on adding if i think of more stuff so do u guys!!!

I can't explain having 7 foot tall umpires. Maybe they think it helps with judging whether the ball's going over. :wacko:

Everyone would like to see charachteristic shots for each batsman, it would be a great thing for the game to have. But they don't get the time or money to develop a batting style for every player. They struggle to make the one.

Things like MOM and series thoughcan easily be included. Why these things are left out I don't know.

And if you want constant updates for the squads, then this is the right place. When the new roster is uploaded you can download that. Who needs official updates from EA?

Dont let EA make the game. They S**K at it bigtime!!

The point is....who if not EA?
Well it will have to be a British or an Ozzie game developer, who know the sport and how its played.

Or maybe Planetcricket and cricket 2004 uk can release their own game. You do have the people who can make a decent game.

EA is not the developer its HB studios.

HB are limited by the time and resources EA are prepared to provide. Remember that HB (as codemasters) made the BLC series.

hiya all,

1)I know hot to play the reverse sweep but i meant the method.... everytime i play play it to a spinner it hits me on the body... so what ball pitched in what area is the best to go for reverse sweep and the position u should be in.....

2)Secondly, now that people are already replying should i still make another thread or persist with this one?

3) i think its an interesting point that why doesnt a British developer make a cricket game which is actually one of their oldest games.... i mean look at EA they have brought each and every American game to the fore....

4) there are so many updates and editors to improve the game .... as if we are breaking the game down and making it again!!!!!
