Touring Squads

Does anybody else find that this game is inconsistent with regards to touring squads? I played a game as Australia and I got to pick one squad at the start for the whole tour. Whereas on another game the computer, admittedly outwitted me. I named a squad straight away with the Test series in mind so it had the liks of MacGill and Langer for the One Day series as well. Well, it then gave me the option to select another squad for the OD 3 game series. So my thoughts are: 'Great I get to name a squad for each part.' So I name a One Day squad only to not get the option of changing it.

It just really frustrated me as it seems to fluctuate with each and every game.

you pick a team before each home test and a 15 man oneday squad, but if you're on tour you pick 18 players for the whole tour

I had the same issue.
I had players like Warne and Langer in my squad for all the first class matches and one day games but then it let me pick and ODI side so i got rid of them. I had to play the tests without them.

In case you didn't realise, I wasn't asking for help, I was merely venting frustration and asking if anybody else had succumbed to the same problems. I fail to see the need for 'help' as making a poor team into a good one is what I enjoy about the game.

Sometimes it can be inconsistent, but i think it is only in the early years. Infact, I am pretty sure for Australia, when picking the VB Series squad, that squad tours South Africa aswell, despite not telling you! But that is only so far happened to me in the 2005/06 season.

It's just annoying when it changes though. I guess it must be the way that the game is programmed.

I don't think anyone likes you much MUFC, i didn't understand you at first, i thought you were wondering why you cant pick seperate squads for test series and odi series

No, that wasn't quite my point. I was stating that playing as the same team a couple of times results in the change of when a squad is picked. For example, on one occasion I get to name two different squads and on the other only one. I was annoyed as it does not state this when you pick the squad, which caused me to leave out some good Test players as they weren't in the ODI Team.

And, by the way, I'm not here to win a popularity contest so I fail to see the reason why I should care 'If no one likes me.' Unless of course I have mistaken this Forum for a school playground and the bullying is about to commence?

I think that this happens when you go on tour and then have to play in a triangular tournament while you are on tour. The way that I have found to avoid this is to NOT look at your team details while you are on tour or you have to pick again. Looks like another bug to be fixed
