UK Release findings....

I now have both versions NZL & UK versions.....

I've run a test series in autoplay mode to see if the line up bug was present... so far so good
I put Waugh & Symonds into the 11 and they were still there in the second innings...

The line up bug existed on autoplay in the AUS / NZL & SAF editions....

I will try a couple more later today and post findings here....

I'll also try a one-dayer this weekend too...

This may bode well for the Aus / NZL / SAF owners if this turns out to be the case...although how
they'll get round the PS2 problem....I don't know.

Cheers,

Steve S.

Sticking my neck out here

Would seem that the line up bug is fixed...(three autoplayed series played)
Now shows correct amount of 4's (ie: 4 fours don't make 20 ;D: )
Better run rates in tests
More edges to slips

but....

when all team is "all out" the not out batsman is shown as C&B or B but with no bowler......

Still we're getting there.

The line up bug occurs when u save and load a game....not when u autoplay.....u can autoplay a test match without saving .....that will cause no line up problems

do u have it for the pc or ps2....if pc....could tell us whats the highlight save feature??????

Yep y'right.....line up bug still exists and as Andrew pointed out regarding the 4's, leaves me to believe that HB studios has either ignored the forum "buglist" or released the UK version to mirror the AUS version then release a patch for both.

If they dont fix these bugs then it really is a "rip off"

So does the UK version mirror the Aussie version for bugs ?

Has anyone encountered the resume bug in one-dayers ?

or the never ending rain ?

The line up bug still exists

I'd be interested in anyone else's findings....

The big question is...will HB release a patch or be able to release a patch given the size of the gob file

Cheers,

Steve S.

yes all bugs have been passed on to the uk version <_<
I have encounterd the resume bug so i now make sure i finish a game before exiting cricket2004
Havent come across the never ending rain, heard plenty about it tho so im avoiding test matches untill a patch is released
I hope ea relase a patch as the game has great potential! But some of the bugs really poil the game, and some make it un-playable <_<

I've noticed:

* Some odd mathematics by Richie Benault
* Sometimes fielder stands wrong side of boundary and makes catch - not given out - still annoying though
* 4 wides adds 5 to the score (Is this right?)
* No ruling on number of short deliveries per over (not sure about this one in real cricket)
* Some very obvious LBW decisions not given when hit six button pressed

All in all this games is great and I'm spending hours on it!

That's correct. The original wide, plus the four runs given as wides. 4 + 1 = 5 :P

Hi you all,

I can't find the answer to my question anywere:

Has the UK version of Cricket2004 (pc version) yet been released?
And if so, is it anyhow different compared to the (my) Australian version?
Are there any bugs solved in the new release, or will it be if the release hasn't taken place yet?

I haven't noticed any players walking across the pitch when a wicket is lost in the UK version.....
