whenever i open an executable (exe)..its opening in DOS and it says
"program too big to fit in memory" or sometimes just exits without any message after opening in DOS. i even tried formatting the windows drive and re-installed XP but to no avail..

i searched the net but couldnt find any definitive answers... :(

btw, i did a virus scan and found that my pc is loaded with win32/parite.B
and has affected all my exe files...but i didnt have any probs till yesterday..

PLEASE HELP ME...

Ouch, you've probably filled up your hard drive and have no free space.

try running the program at this link

http://www.bitdefender.com/VIRUS-1000025-en--Win32.Parite.A-B-C.html

also checkout

http://us.mcafee.com/virusInfo/?id=description&virus_k=99690

thanx..for the prompt reply..
well...i have enough space on each of my partition..more than 2GB on each.

i tried the removal tool..and the exe files dont work at all after that lol...
99% of the exe files on my PC are infected... :(
all my softwares will be corrupted....

any other ideas ??

do you have the following key in your registry, if so remove it

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\PINF]

Also looks like you need to disable system restore to remove it.

yes..i removed it earlier itself.....
now some strange thing is happening..

after opening an exe file..it says "Windows cannot access specified path,
or file. you may not have appropriate permission to access the item"

:crying :crying

looks like a full hard-disk format for me ! :( :crying

any idea for the best antivirus which does not consume much
system resources... ??

I think he means CMD as if DOS opened it would have restarted his computer or something as then DOS appears..
