It's a good idea, should definately be used, but they must use it right.

But read the articles before commenting!!! They have refused it because of the lack of money!! Are you going to say that BCCI does not have the money as well for this??

I would advise the same to you too. Read and go through the articles carefully before hurling a tyrad of abuses at anyone. The BCCI officials have just asked for certain clarifications about this system (as it has some big flaws), before finally implementing it, and both the ICC and BCCI are trying to sort the matter out as soon as possible.

PS, only to tell you, it was none but the BCCI and the SLC who agreed to the trialling of this "review system" for the very first time in the history of cricket. It happened in the Ind-SL test series of last year.

King Cricket added 4 Minutes and 33 Seconds later...

Just disappointed that when the world moves forward why cant india!

Yeah, that's exactly why India and Sri Lanka were the first ever countries who agreed to the trialling of the review system. :sarcasm

Vow!! Did that happen in your dreams or what??
Anyway I think your just getting overexcited... chill it down!

I was just trying to express disappointment that the UDRS is not going ahead in all the countries!!

This a great addition by the ICC and the fact that only 2 referrals per innings will make it a massive success!
The main issue is that about india refusing to use this?? they are the richest board and whats the problem with this? I think its plain outright bullying of the ICC?:facepalm

Surely. India will certainly want to go for an expensive system like that for the ill-trained 3rd Umpires to make a complete mess of it, as they did in West Indies (Sorry Daryl if your reading, I still think it was a wrong decision), isn't it? :sarcasm

Buddy, I want it too. We are all on the same side. DO NOT make this another India vs the World thread. All the BCCI is asking for is that a few problems be addressed.

Please be informed - A similar thing happened in 2006-07 when India refused to participate in the World Twenty20 in South Africa since India believed and still believes that Test cricket is of prima facie importance. But when convinced of the merits of the format, the BCCI introduced the IPL which took the world by storm and cricket was never the same again. So see the analogy and give the BCCI some time :)

I would advise the same to you too. Read and go through the articles ....

I agree with every word you wrote in the post. :)

The BCCI, CSA and the ECB rejected or at least heavily indicated that they don't want to use the system and I agree with them. The system was a farce last time it was used and although it does correct some bad decisions it simply takes too much time out of the game for it to be worthwhile, especially after the third umpires got decisions wrong when using it. Its the umpires on field who should make all calls.

Well, the last time BCCI agreed to the use of this review system in a match, the results weren't positive at all. They were quite messy and resulted in some comical dismissals. I guess that's why this time round, they have first asked for certain clarifications from the ICC regarding UDRS, before finally giving a green signal to the implementation of this system. But that doesn't necessarily mean that they are against it or doing this just to "bully" the ICC as you are trying to insist.

I absolutely loathe the system. It makes the game really slow, and takes out the integrity that the on field umpires deserve.....

maybe allow commentator voting, some special players sitting in some other room or public voting people who are sitting in vip with screens.
as when 3rd umpire and referee are judging they can make mistakes as they are two.
adding 2 to 3 more people or just their secret votes to third umpire surely helps
