Watch out for this VIRUS.

hey guys i am sorry if i opened a thread in wrong forum.
but this is important NEWS so there are ppl who have come up with a VIRUS.
Yesterday a girl sent me that VIRUS and i had to reinstall Windows once again.
the name of the virus is unknown and shuts down all application.
Now i have downloaded the norton anti virus 2005 to proctect my computer.

So watch out for this kinda virus

A virus has never caused my PC to crash...I've been using Norton ever since I got a PC.

I use Norton Antivirus 2005+Zone Alarm Pro+Windows Firewall
Also I run spyware scan using Microsoft Antispy regularly.

So there is danger(hopefully) for me.

that virus is a worm...it was told all over the news that this virus was there 2 weeks ago...it attacks Windows 2000 and window XP early EDITIONS

That is why you don't keep early editions of XP. I use Sygate Personal Firewall. Got Norton System works 2005. Those 2 programs have keep viruses away for me.

before i got norton 2k5, i had this worm. it keeps re-opening itself and makes my comp dead slow. i had to reinstall windows too. man that sucked. now im fine... thanks to norton 2005! :hpraise

I had used Symantec Antivirus, Spy Sweeper and Windows Firewall to protect my systems. Plus I run the scan regularly. So I've never got a virus. First I use to use Norton Antivirus 2005 but the problem is it slows up my P.C. The better sofware is to use Symantec Antivirus Versions 10 rather than using Nortan Antivirus 2005.

man there was a chick she cheated me and sent the link so what i did clicked on and i was asked whether i would like to save,open or cancel. I pressed save and at the time i had norton antivirus 2004 and it was keep telling me to delete that file but i wasn't able to. it saved its file in c:/windows and when i restart my pc so all the data was kinda acting funny/strange msn chat window was opening automatically ppl who were online and lots of pop-ups. after a while pc got shut down and said files corrupt or missing.
and i reinstalled windows Xp home edition.

I only use windows firewall. Don't look at any dodgy sites (honest) so there is no need for any virus protection for me. Now my 2 gig's of DDR get to work on games and not some dam scanning anti virus checking my files.
