Once the bowling cursor appears, then I can't move.
That's nuts. I have to Know where the ball is going
to go "first", so that I can then position myself for
the shot.

We should be able to move "after" the cursor appears.
Well that's how BLC99 was.
Can't remember if C2004 was as well, cause I ain't
played it for Yonks.

Yes the we cant move ...and sometimes we even cant see the bowling cursor ...thats when we get the yorker !!!(99% in one day)...if u come and hide stumps you will get locked at that position and if its a yorker it would be difficult to play leg glance (quite possible ...but there are few chances that you mag get LBW or bowled....)....if you keep your stance roughly at the fourth or fifth stump (like Sachin Tendulkar did for Shane Warne when he used to bowl around the wicket) that could help you ....

But i play at default position !!! i am quite used to it ......

But moving once you know where the marker is is cheating? Because in real cricket you won't know where the ball will land and so you don't 'position yourself'. I always stand in a set place, I show quite a lot of the wickets, with only leg covered up, allowing me to play straight(ish).

I just stand where they have me stand normally, unless I feel creative and have the urge to play a cover drive/cut shot, then I go way down leg Boof Lehmann-style.

Depends where the field is set for me. I usually stand just covering leg stump but at the end of a game when the gaps appear I stand in the default position so I can easily knock the ball down to mid wicket for numerous singles.

I stand in the default position and flick all those yorkers down to fine leg, with the occasional on-drive if I'm feeling frisky.

"But moving once you know where the marker is cheating?"....... Yeah I guess so :noway

Use to love making rom, and playing the square drive in
BLC99 though. But seems like everyone excepts the way
it is in C2005, so guess I'll just except it to. :(

So tell me please......how do I put those quotes in
my post from someone elses post....
you know, the white square box.
thanx

Read my post above. You can actually move, if you are constantly moving beforehand.

BUT IN REAL LIFE YOU CAN'T SEE WHERE THE BALL IS GOING TO LAND SO IN THEORY THEY SHOULD ONLY LET YOU MOVE IF YOU HAVE THE MARKER TURNED OFF (if they do that)

NOW CALM DOWN. Idiot.

But in real life you don't have a dot on the pitch that shows you where the ball will land. (Though this would help me with my fresh air cover drive!)

u r all right and wrong..............u COULD move after cursor in 2k4 and u CANT move in 2k5 ......BUT u can go legside and hit offside if u want to cos u can use advance shot to stop lbw in most cases.....but why would u want to when u can just hit sixes from 99% of all deliveries....?????????
