I just think he cant play there, Gambhir put up a crap load of runs in that series and Sehwag failed. He still doesn't have a 50 in New Zealand.
New Zealand pitches or conditions offer some movement and if a bowler can get some movement in the air or of the seam Sehwag is screwed. It wasn't his "idiocy" it was just the lack of skill and will do adopt to different conditions. He can put up with a little bit of extra bounce but against swing and seam he is like a fish out of water.

When India toured New Zealand earlier this year the pitches were as flat as I've ever seen them, Sehwag like Stinky stated was just trying to thump everything out of the park, he undone himself more then anything.

Well that's why he is nowhere near Smith.

What I meant was, he doesn't have the technique or temperament you need from a Test opening batsmen.

No doubt he can do it.......

Phillip Hughes has the bling. That makes him the best.

So that's why you don't think he's really a opening batsmen, because he has a different technique and likes to attack. Ummm, okay.

Ok. Misunderstanding. He is definitely an opening batsmen, and a very good one at that.

I'm saying, I wouldn't rate him as the best one because he doesn't bat like one should in test cricket. Meaning his technique and temperament.

Or this one

Some of the best ever batsmen have had different technique's and have liked to attack the bowling like Sehwag does so I can't say I agree with you tbh. Viv Richards was/is rated as one of the best ever batsmen and he liked to attack.

Edit: Yea Daniel Flynn's average, your point?

It's called a joke. Some people find them humorous. :p

Yes, best ever batsmen, which Sehwag is undoubtedly one of. But his opening ways aren't very solid.
