Don't remember. I think its Intel 945 GLV with 2 GB RAM. Nothing special about it.

Does anyone happen to know if Oracle 11g version 1 will work on this OS? Not sure if the 11g for Vista will be transferrable

So according to the Windows 7 upgrade programme, my graphics adapter can't deal with the Aero thing? Is that important?

Oh and apparently ZoneAlarm isn't yet functionable. I shall try and get this on the cheap, what with being a student 'n' all.

whats the average installation time ? 1 hr ?

RC took about 15 minutes or something, shouldn't take longer than 30 minutes if you have a good processor and ram.

It took me close to 21-22 mins on a 1.86ghz dual core AMD mobile processor with 4gigs of RAM.

OMG !!! am embarrassed now ! Apologies ! Apologies ! Apologies !!

finally installed windows 7. installation took only 20 mins !
most of the drivers were installed automatically. its times faster than XP
and the graphics,interface and browsing is so smooth and elegant that it felt like a
royal treat !!

excellent so far, lets see how it performs once i install all the apps, games etc...

McAfee does not work on this. MS has it on its approved list though. :laugh

^^^mcafee works fine in it. i m using mcafee. but i got it from my college so i dont know if there is a difference with the retail version of mcafee.

and the installation took me only 20 mins too (2gb ram) including the desktop/time zone/ language setup.
