- League Winners will host the Finals series over a 5 Test Series
- Play-offs will see 4th play away at 3rd in a 3 Test series and winner will play away at 2nd in a 4 test series. (Draws in play-off series will see Home Side Qualify)

What I am also going to do is from now is random number generator between 1 to 150 before each series. If I get a number between 1 and 30 then that player is injured and will miss the next series. I will keep rolling until you get a number OVER 30 (or you have 12 injured as then the other 18 will be your squad).

Exceptions to this rule are any player who finished the last series injured either in game (like Inzy) or because of the random number generator. Then it will be a coin flip if those players are fit for the next tour or not.

Test Format announced

As plans step up, the WALT board have announced the format that the competition will take.

All countries will have a home series programme of one 5-test series, three 4-test series and three 3-test series. They have also outlined a typically convoluted points scoring format based on the fact that teams will at least have the same amount of home test matches but a different amount of away matches.

Your first job after that is to narrow down the long-list to a 30-man squad (with a captain and vice-captain). If you want to include one or two names that aren't on the long-list, that's fine but post-WW2 only please.

CROFT & PATTERSON THE BIG OMMISSIONS IN THE WINDIES SQUAD

Croft was rumoured to be dejected at being left out the 30-man squad

West Indies head selector Ahmedleo414 has wasted no time in naming the thirty man squad that will try and prove that, despite their recent fall from grace, they have the greatest players in post war history.

Certainly they will hope get to play the Aussies at Perth and take advantage of the bouncy wickets in South Africa given the sheer battery of pace bowlers at their disposal. Not many other countries would be able to tell the likes of the Patrick Patterson and Colin Croft that their services will most certainly not be required over the course of the Championship. Although whether they might have been better options than the more all-round options of Dwayne Bravo and Jason Holder will wait to be seen.

In terms of specialist spin, Lance Gibbs and Sonny Ramadin have been preferred to Alf Valentine, but expect the likes of Chris Gayle and Carl Hooper to be on the tours of the Sub-Continent.

As expected, Clive Lloyd has been named captain of the squad, with 'Master Blaster' Viv as his deputy. Thus allowing Garry Sobers to concentrate on brining his all-round talents within the ranks, however it does raise questions as to whether 'the Black Bradman' George Headley will be able to force his way into the middle order with competition from Brian Lara.
