Sad faces of Indian players after being eliminated from the tournament

I can't believe it! After we were bowled out for 213 in the 2nd innings, nobody would've bet on us to win, but the the Master Murali saved us once again.

We will go unchanged after that victory against the strongest opponent from our group.

All the three teams England, New Zealand and South Africa are tied at 18 points.
But only two of them can go to Super Six.

Looking at head to head records between these three teams,
England and South Africa have got 10 points and New Zealand have got only 8 Points.

So England and South Africa move to the Super Six. New Zealand have been eliminated. Hard luck @Andrin Issac

Points Table Group B
Team Name|Played|Won|Draw|Points
Australia|4|4|0|32
England|4|2|0|18
South Africa|4|2|0|18
New Zealand|4|2|0|18
Bangladesh|4|0|0|2

It's pretty awesome to finish on the winning after setting them a target of less than 200. Our bowlers clicked brilliantly as a bowling unit. The batsmen could have done better. Full credit to NZ for competing hard and setting up a climactic finish to the match.

Not sure if my gamble worked as Botham only bowled 11 overs in both innings, the were very economical though, so I like to think he built up some pressure on the SA batsmen. Absolutely delighted to get a victory and more importantly get into the next round, it certainly wasn't easy.

Can we have a stats update please @PCA

There is no historical stats.
Individual stats won't make much difference because it will be identical to the scorecard.

Points carried forward to the super six

1. Sri lanka - 16
2. Australia - 16
3. West Indies - 10
4. England - 8
5. South Africa - 2
6. Pakistan - 0

Sri Lanka should consider themselves to be lucky. This is the beauty of super six.

Taking lineups for super six

Sri Lanka Vs South Africa
Australia vs Pakistan
West Indies vs England

Check the scorecard carefully.
Zaheer Khan was injured while batting in the first inngs.
That's why he didn't bowl.
