Worst Test Team

Exactly, well said Lee. He averages 40 in Tests (well he did before last nights duck :p), thats something that even a great player lie Stephen Fleming cannot claim, and Strauss opens. He's in poor form atm, but he's too good a player to be left out. He should be opening with Cook with Vaughan at 3. I'm sure Strauss will get back to form once he's got some runs under his belt for Middlesex.

Just shows how good Ponting is.

Who else would score 7 International Centuries in the last year and still be considered to be struggling?

Strange isn't it?

i think ponting will go down as one of the best of all time....

it's going to be a huge loss for the aussie's when he reitire's

Guys where is Faisal Iqbal??????????

I've ignored Bangladesh for obvious reasons. I have also included people who have played as recently as possible.

1. Andrew Strauss
2. Devon Smith
3. Matthew Bell
4. Matthew Sinclair/Yuvraj Singh
5. Mubarak the destroyer.
6. Runako Morton
7. Kamran Akmal (wk)
8. Harbhajan Singh
9. Daren Powell
10. Steve Harmison
11. Shoaib Akhtar

you are sick!

Strauss is only in his 3rd Test of 2008 so his average this year means sod all. He has shown in the past he is a very good batsman and it is the typical English attitude to want someone out as soon as they are in bad form.

As soon as they are in bad form?

16 tests without a test hundred is not acceptable for a batsman. In the past...three very important words. In the past Steve Harmison was Number One in the world. Does he still deserve to play for us? No.

On merit not on record.

Why? He can't get through more than four overs in a spell.

Mohammad Sami should definately be in there. Doesn't he average like 50 with the ball in Test Cricket?

Sami isn't really in the setup since he has joined the ICL. On second thoughts, Akhtar did quite well in India despite serious fitness issues, so I'll put Sami in there.

I'm just going of current form and building off Simbazz's team of one.

Are you kidding me what is Sidebottom doing in the side , hes currently one of the best and Pietersen and Collingwood ???
what on earth....

Firstly, I was building off Simbazz who put Strauss there and secondly, because he averaged 28.80 in 2007 and 19.40 in 2008.

If thats the case then look out Vaughn average in that time..
In 2008 its just 3rd test for Strauss and you can't estimates averages after 2 tests..
Look out Sir Hes playing on day 3.I have argued with everyone because of Strauss..So he'll make once something for me then We'll see.:p:p:D

Whoever say that Strauss need to get dropped from Team,I say first Vaughn need to get rest...

Shoaib will probably get 2 or 3 wickets in that "4 over spell", he's a hard working bowler, who has a ability to put any world class batsman in big pressure. He is just a match winner, no doubt he should be in 1998-2006's best fast bowler list!

Anti-shoaibism sucks!

When the coach thinks that he should not play Tests, then there must be a problem.

PS: I don't care whether he does drugs or not, or whether he chucks or not, but how good of a bowler he is. Can you think of anyone else to have there?

1. Andrew Strauss (harishankar)
2. Devon Smith (Leggie)

I don't know But Ben how can you put there opener with average 40+??...

Strauss is not that bad for test cricket..

Yuvraj instead of Sinclair. You're joking right ? Sinclair is awful, Yuvraj is a brilliant player but hasn't had the luck in Test Cricket; Sinclair's just crap.

anyone but shoaib, The thing about shoaib is he always makes a effort, not like Pakistan's other players. Sami is quite suckish bowler.

Also, coaches say alot of stuff, does it mean coach is 100% right? ofcorse not.

Of course it doesn't, but the coach has Pakistan's interests at heart which debunks your theory that not rating Shoaib Akhtar is part of Anti-Shoaibism.
