Yahoo Messenger not loading.....

hi, i dunno why this is happening.

it hasnt happened before. but last night when i double clicked on yahoo messenger, it didnt load.

then used to ctrl+alt+del and found tht it was loaded in the memory but it wast showing on desktop.

it was v7.5, so i un-installed and re-installed it but ntn happened.

then i un-installled it, downloaded v8.0 , installed it and it worked.

but not, today when i tried to load it, again the same problem.

what do i do now?

I think it has caused some techincal problems.. it mixed up with your system. Uninstall Yahoo Messenger and go to your program files directory and also delete the "Yahoo" folder from there and then re-install it and try.

i have already done tht when i un-installed 7.5.

anything else tht might solve the problem?

Well, try to wait 10-15 minutes after starting Yahoo! Also, check for spywares & viruses!

I had this problem once with Yahoo. I just ended the process and started over and it worked fine. Is that the newest version out right now?

yes night, 8.0 is the latest version of yahoo messenger, but i use 7.5 its better .

It could be that one of your startup programs is interfering with it.

well i got it working again.

i scaned the system with Ad-Aware Pro, it found 5-6 problems and fixed them.

i restarted and now yahoo messenger works fine.

Thats great! But I haven't ever heard of a spyware stopping some program from happening!

But these spies really are annoying! :cool:
