You know what really grinds my gears

I'm not a fan of winter rain. We have had rain during -2 C weather here during the winter. Its not fun, and when it finally stops raining, it all turns to ice and thats even worse.

Useless House Captains who have a badge, but don't do the work, leaving me to make sure our Soccer/Cricket/Basketball teams don't fall apart due to shoddy management.

Tempted to not do anything and let our House crash and burn due to his incompetence, but that would be petty and I'd rather see us win even if it means I'm carrying the team(s).

Did that kid just call us fags?

LOL. Leave it to South Park to verbalise what we all think whenever those tattooed twats ride past on those ridiculous bikes.

My favourite part was when the Gay Community joined the crusade and held up protest signs that said "Gays Against Fags". Such a quality episode.

Honestly. You make a really tough decision and ultimately proved right to do so, yet end up losing because someone enjoys gambling a bit too much.

Although if it wasn't for players like that it'd be a really hard grind to make any money playing, so in the long run I've got to accept it.

And for anyone who wants to criticise my play in the hand I'll pre-emptively answer these questions:

1)I limped with Kings as I was UTG and people are generally tight pre-flop in rush games.

2)I called his re-raise as it's unlikely he had two hearts. Admittedly perhaps I should have 3bet all in. But I was hoping that the board would either pair or at least not 4-flush on the turn.

3)I call off my stacks as I am getting ~ 4:1 on my money, With the other king and the 9 cards that pair the board it's a 10/45 chance that I scoop the pot. The way he shoved as opposed to making a reasonable sized bet made me think there was a possibility he didn't have a heart at all. Obviously that likelihood can't be quantified, but I believe it was around about enough to offset my lack of pot odds and ultimately I was correct. Yet I still lost.

Hmm well Ste since you only had a little bit you should have gone all in at the flop. It was your best chance to get him to fold but I have the feeling you were trying to milk him and you ended up getting screwed yourself

Days in the middle of winter that give you hope that it is going away. Today was 44 degrees F, beautiful weather. I even played some basketball outside - the snow was all melted and you just needed a sweater. But we're having a snow storm tonight, expecting 10 inches of snow. :mad

But doesn't that mean no school? :banana2

We only get 3-5 days that can be cancelled per year. We had 1 off due to swine flu and one for a snowday. And, they are reaaaaaaally reluctant to call it a snowday usually.

Very slim chance of a snowday, but if we somehow have one it might eat into summer :(

Yep. I probably should have 3bet all in on the flop. But he probably would have called anyway, the nutter.

True, and that is the problem with bad players, they will beat you with some odd bullshit just because they stayed in the hand when they should have folded and caught some lucky BS at the turn/river

44f which is roughly 6 to 7 degrees. that is roughly what it averages in tas in the middle of winter. its a bit sad to call it a beautiful day though . :P
