This is a thread that I wanted to do for awhile now but I haven?t really had that much time. As the title suggests I want you to write about your favourite countries best young talent that hasn?t played international cricket yet. Another catch is that they have to be 21 or younger, so no veteran first-class players.

Best up and coming batsmen in New Zealand:

Kane Williamson has been talked about for years as the next big thing in New Zealand cricket; he made his first-class debut after just turning 17. In his first innings he made one, and in his second managed his first duck. Not the start the youngster wanted but things could only get better. He only played two more games that season but he really broke out in the 2008-09 season. After a strong under 19 world cup and England tour he started off strong for ND, making his highest score in first-class cricket of 98. He only had to wait three more games before making his first hundred. He finished the season as the sixth top scorer making 707 runs in seven games at an average of 54.38 with two hundreds and five fifties. In List A cricket he finished the season with 320 runs in 11 games at an average of 45.71, he also scored his first hundred during the season. Being talked about as a possible bolter for the Sri Lankan tour later this year, Williamson is defiantly a player of the future.

Jeet Raval made his first-class debut against the touring West Indies team in late 2008. Usually an opening batsmen he batted at six and made a respectful 36. It was in his next game for Auckland that he hit the headlines when he made 256 in his first opening stint for Auckland. Born in India Raval is an attacking batsmen capable of scoring at a very fast rate, he is also a very good slip fielder.

All-Rounder:

Corey Anderson hit the headlines when he was only sixteen years old after being timed bowling at speeds at over 135 kmph. He is the youngest player ever to gain a contract with a New Zealand first-class team when he was only sixteen. During the 2008-09 season Anderson was in and out of the Canterbury team, and sadly doesn?t bowl that often because of injury. But comparisons are already being made to Jacob Oram because of the way he hits the ball. He made his best score during the season with 88 not-out which included 4 sixes and seven fours.

Bowler:

Trent Boult made his first-class debut for New Zealand A against India A in India and did well enough to take three wickets in his first match, his first wicket was Suresh Raina. Boult made the NZ under 19 team after winning the New Zealand secondary schools ball off competition. He was timed at 143.7 kmph as a 17 year old. In his first game for ND he took his first five wicket haul, but the 2008-09 season was a stop start affair as Boult was injured quite a lot. He was the surprise pick in the New Zealand ODI team for the Chapple Hadlee series given the fact he hadn?t played for almost two weeks. He wasn?t given a game, but it shows how close he is to playing for New Zealand.

Fast bowler:

Chris Woakes is a player with a bright future and is making rapid strides with Warwickshire. A tall quick bowler, he topped the county's bowling averages in 2008 and was soon being talked about as someone with the ability to push onto international cricket. The selectors were clearly taking note because he was named in England's 30-man preliminary squad for the ICC World Twenty20, and also the MCC team to take on Durham at the start of the 2009 season.

Fast Bowler:

A tall fast bowler, Fletcher represented Nottinghamshire's second XI in 2007 and played alongside the club's bowling coach, Phil DeFreitas, for Papplewick in the local Nottinghamshire leagues. After joining the club on their pre-season tour to South Africa in 2008 he was handed a one-year contract.

Batsman:

Sam Northeast first came to prominence when as a 13-year-old he scored 19 hundreds in a term, and he continued that form at Harrow where he was in the 1st XI at the age of 14 and more than held his own. Such was his talent that Kent sent coaches to work with him rather than asking him to travel to Canterbury, and he picked up a string of national awards, including a Bunbury scholarship.

An allround sportsman, he is a national schools rackets champion, a county squash player and cross-country runner, and good enough at football and rugby to have been offered county trials.

In 2005 he made his Kent 2nd XI debut against Durham and scored 96, as well as playing for England Under-15s. In 2006 he was included in a strong Getty XI against the touring Sri Lankans, and he cracked 62.

He enjoyed an excellent tri-series in Sri Lanka in 2007 - putting on 152 with Billy Godleman in one of the matches - and was part of England's Under-19 World Cup squad in 2008

All-Rounder:

Strong and fit, James Harris is an allrounder, whose strength is his seam bowling, who was the youngest person to appear for Glamorgan 2nd XI when he turned out in 2005 at the age of 14 years and 353 days, and a month later he was the youngest to appear for Wales Minor Counties, taking 3 for 48 against Netherlands. In 2006 he signed a contract with Glamorgan despite being 15, and in the same year captained England Under-16s. He made his debut aged just 16 and a few weeks later became the first 17-year-old to take a seven wicket haul in the Championship. He was rewarded for his promising debut season with a trip to India in late 2007 as part of the England Performance Programme squad, and was part of the England squad for the Under-19 World Cup in 2008.

There's a few of England's young talents. Could have posted a few more, but those are the main somewhat unknown ones. Billy Godleman's got a big future as well, he's very highly rated, as is his Middlesex team-mate Stephen Finn. Alex Hales of Notts is another to look out for as well. Quite a few good young talents in the English domestic system at the minute.

Batters
Usman Khawaja another gun opening batter that just continues to score runs. http://content.cricinfo.com/australia/content/player/215155.html
Michael Hill, awesome u19 prospect who is yet to make his mark at the next level but he has been given limited opportunity. Handy with the ball as well. http://content.cricinfo.com/australia/content/player/266215.html
Tom Cooper, another gun opening batter. Has been on fire in the OD arena and with more games in FC he should also make his mark in the longer form of the game. http://content.cricinfo.com/australia/content/player/219885.html
Theo Doropoulos, has real potential with the bat to become our next Andrew Symonds. Also bowls medium pace. http://content.cricinfo.com/australia/content/player/5104.html

All rounders
James Faulkner rated as the best of our young all rounders, left arm fast medium and handy lower order batter. http://content.cricinfo.com/australia/content/player/270484.html
John Hastings, has performed more like a bowling all rounder but he has the talent with the bat. Has a bowling average under 20 after 4 matches. http://content.cricinfo.com/australia/content/player/228622.html
Steven Smith, currently more of a batting all rounder with his batting skills being a lot better than his leg spin. But Terry Jenner and Warne rate his leg spin so who knows where that will go. http://content.cricinfo.com/australia/content/player/267192.html

Bowling
James Pattinson, a promising bowler who can bat a bit. http://content.cricinfo.com/australia/content/player/272465.html
Nathan Coulter-Nile, a bowler with raw pace. http://content.cricinfo.com/australia/content/player/261354.html
Cullen Bailey, leg spin bowler who is the best of the current young spinners. http://content.cricinfo.com/australia/content/player/4441.html
Peter George, tall fast bowler with good accuracy. Has done well in his games so far. http://content.cricinfo.com/australia/content/player/232287.html

Kieran Powell

I watched him play in the 2008 Under 19 World Cup and he was really good. Powell was one of the only batsmen that could really dominate the bowling attack at that World Cup, he ended up having a strike-rate of around 110 from memory. He looked a lot like Chris Gayle.

George Worker

I sort of forgot all about Worker, but he looks like a real good opening prospect.

Yea he really does look like Chris Gayle, big strong left hander and he is only 19. He has a good First Class record and hopefully he continues to develop because the talent is there. His ListA record is not great but a batsman like him can improve in the one day game.

The strike rate was 124 btw.
