The Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR was the 1998 car used at Le Mans, with both of them retiring in the first couple of hours with engine issues. The 1999 car was the Mercedes-Benz CLR and this was the one that flipped.

Just a little history lesson for you.

Better known for its teardrop shape causing it to lose ground effect suddenly and to go flying in the air rather than it's racing capabilities, as Mark Webber and Peter Dumbreck unfortunately dicovered. However it is one of the faster cars to have been clocked on the Mulsanne straight.

I must say Webber has to be the unluckiest driver in F1 history XD

He hardly ever fails, it's always his car.

And the Mercedes SLR (The most expensive current model) is a very fine car.

Acutally the CLK GTR is faster than the McLaren.

McLaren F1 - 240.1 mph (386.7 km/h)
CLK GTR - 200 mph (322 km/h)

Unless you are confusing the race spec car which is capable of 330 km/h (205 mph) which is still slower, unless you are then also perhaps confusing it with the H.W.A. model which received aftermarket modifications, but I can't find any speed records for that.

The CLK GTR is actually slower than an Enzo, Zonda, Jag XJ220, Murcielago, Carrera GT and the Mercedes SLR to name but a few

Jet car!!!! You have to be mental to drive one of those things.

You do indeed, however, that was actually a rocket car. Quicker than the jet cars by about 100mph. 0-100 in 0.3secs....something like 15g forces on the body!
