Nice gesture from Zimbabwe. Benefits both teams in a way. Pakistan finally get to play a game at home meaning Pakistanis get to watch their team play and Zimbabwe get to play higher ranked opposition.

The Pakistani town of Kohat is located to the south-west of the Pakistani city of Peshawar and is based near Pakistani Taliban strongholds, which are located within the lawless tribal areas of the country. This attack comes only a day after a suicide car bombing killed 19 people and wounded more than 40 others in the Pakistani town of Lakki Marwat. Correspondents within the area are currently claiming that the Pakistani Taliban are once again back in business, with regards to their suicide attacks on military and civilian targets across the country, despite a lull in such attacks during the recent Pakistan floods, which affected a large proportion of the country.[469]

I don't see how anyone would want to tour after reading that. It has not got an inch safer since the Sri Lanka incident. if anything its way more out of control.

Couple that with the floods and hosting cricket at home should be the last thing on their minds.

I don't think the terrorists will care about Zim cricketers (no offense to anybody here). They're in the safe imo, and frankly, both could use the money.

No way can this tour be allowed to continue now. Pakistan is no way near safe enough for foreigners to visit.

I agree entirely, but countries are forced to consider what the hosting country puts forward as proposed safety measures and frankly if you can get hands on a gun then there is no such thing as safe.

Out of interest, was the Sri Lankan bus fitted with bullet proof glass? Tyres bullet proof as well, and from various snippets on news about Iraq/Afghanistan, I seem to recall something about vehicles can be protected against explosions to some degree
