Would actually love it if teams were allowed to retain just one player. Imagine de Villiers (for example) playing in Hyderabad if RCB decide to retain Kohli. It would greatly improve the distribution of talent. It would also make auctions a lot more fun since a player like de Villiers will be chased by basically every team in the league. Of course, it makes next to no sense in case of squad-building for franchises but as a neutral, it would be incredibly fun to watch.

Tough game for Pune and that too a big blow with Stokes out. They replaced him with Faf here, but it was Stokes the bowler who won us the match against Mumbai. His bowling will be hugely missed. Dan Christian has to take extra responsibility here and so will Thakur and Unadkat.

I would be surprised if Pune pull this one off. Overwhelmingly in favor of KKR to thrash Pune hard.

I don't want to jinx, but Rahul Tripathi has been truly an amazing find from Pune this IPL. THe guy has constantly been giving Pune quickfire starts almost every game. Would be good enough to say that he has played a hand in Pune's last 3 consecutive wins. And he is at it again today. He is literally spanking Narine here.

And Rahane continues to prod. He is in terrible touch. The sooner he gets out, the better.

CSK and RR either get the same retention that other teams get, or every single player goes into the auction and no teams retain. PERIOD.

Well, I am not the only one here saying that CSK and RR will get the opportunity to retain players. They were punished by not being allowed to play in IPL for two years. When they come back, they get the same benefits that other teams get

Great bowling from Kuldeep Yadav. Getting it with the wrong'uns. Dhoni and Tiwary are massive wickets. Christian and Smith need to repair it for Pune and take them to atleast 170'ish here.
