Basel emerged winners in a thrilling match against PSG. Basel grabbed the lead through Downing's stunning curler. Doumbia equalised at the brink of haltime with a diving header. Emenike put Basel back in the lead with a header of his own. Almost immediately, Pjanic hit a long range rocket to put PSG level but Downing scored another goal to win it for Basel.

Man United completed a routine victory over Milan thanks to goals from Sterling, Hamsik and van Persie. Raheem Sterling opened the scoring for United , latching onto a through ball. Robin van Persie extended the lead with a sweet volley. Marek Hamsik scored a tap-in to seal the match.

Bayern dominated Arsenal but could've and should've scored more.Bayern scored the first goal through Neven Subotic's glancing header from an Alaba corner. Jack Wilshere capped off a fine move to equalise. Moutinho got the lead back for Bayern with a shot that hit the post before tricking past the line.

Benfica defeated Chelsea 4-2 in a pulsating encounter. A flowing team move was finished by Fabregas to give Chelsea an early lead. Benfica responded within ten minutes, with Talisca converting Alan's cross. Suarez restored Chelsea's lead with a volley. Alan equalised almost immediately, with a thumping header. Enzo Perez put Benfica in the lead late in the second half, but Alan further extended the lead with another header.

A Wayne Rooney brace helped Barca to a 2-1 victory over rivals Atletico. Newcomer Wayne Rooney gave Barcelona the lead with a header from a corner routine. Mario Mandzukic equalised for Atleti, and as usual, it was a header. Rooney scored once again thanks to a goalkeeping error.

Zenit and Shakhtar played out the best match in this tournament which ended 4-4. The match was defined by two crazy spells of play, from Minute 7 to Minute 18 and from Minute 75 to Minute 90. A fine free-kick routine was finished by de Bruyne to give Shakhtar a fast start. A de Bruyne through ball found Payet who finished it to make it 2-0. Payet found himself on the scoresheet once more as he turned Nainggolan's shot in. Chicharito scored a seemingly late consolation, but Fernandao capitalised on Kivrak's lapse in concentration to make it 3-2. Fernandao headed in Hulk's cross to equalise. Fellaini scored after the goalkeeper parried a shot to give his team a stunning lead. But, there was more to come as Gregorz Krychowiak scored an absolute belter from long range to pull off a late equaliser.

Falcao secured Spurs a massive three points as Spurs scored from all their shots. Falcao gave Spurs the lead with a typical poacher's goal. Luiz Gustavo equalised for Valencia, gliding Messi's cross home. Falcao scored yet again to restore Spurs' lead, with another poacher's goal.

Real Madrid edged a close game 1-0 thanks to Ronaldo's early goal. Cristiano Ronaldo scored with a thumping header to hand Madrid the lead. Dortmund could've taken the lead on any other day, but they came up against an inspired Madrid goalkeeper.
