GCSE Results Day

Even Indian kids get forced to do French? Interesting. I'd have thought it would make more sense to do one of the other Asian languages.

Well when I got back from my holiday there was a mysterious envelope from the school addressed to me. It turned out to be my Additional Mathematics grade, which was a respectable C. It was a hard paper, and I believe that a C is quite highly regarded by universities and the like.

It's not a GCSE anyway...

Guess I'm going to get my Additional Maths grade when I get the others, but well done.

I couldn't really work out why they didn't save it for Thursday - seemed a waste of a First Class Stamp to me!

Cheers, bet you'll get an A in it...

Just because I dress like one doesn't mean I am only as intelligent as a caveman

I need to know now how crap I've done; the suspense is killing me!

My mood on my gf's bday will be dictated by these results lol

HA, I can now laugh as you worry about your results. Gawd, it seems a long time ago since GCSE's. These next two years go so slowly

Can someone please explain what GCSEs are?

Is it like the School Certificate in Australia; with A levels being the HSC equvilent?

I'm confused.

GCSEs is what we take at the end of school (16 is the normal age). We then go onto college (16-18) and can do A-Levels, A2s, GCSE re-takes, etc.
