Click on fix selected problems in spybot.

It should remove it. Do another thing before fixing, Click on the plus sign next to each entry to expand it.
Now, take another screenshot and post it here.
We would be able to help you better :)

I always get Trojan Horse. I remove it and then scan my computer. I don't want it fricking up my fairly new laptop!

Best advise when it comes to virus killing is google the name, you'll usually find a techie forum that'll tell you how to deal with it. Of course you will usually find loads of links for software that when you come to using it asks you to pay for the removal of the virus. Don't. There is always a free solution.

Isn't it true that some of these download 'solutions' actually make the problem worse in some cases, indeed, some of them are viruses/spyware in their own right?

How do you know if you have a virus, what are the signs? I know the PC will act messed up, but what specifically should you be on the lookout for?

Popups, unwanted ads, your browser acts funny - these are general symptoms of adwares/spywares.

viruses are so varied, that its tough to pin-point on signs. It could range between simply resetting your wallpaper, to crashing the hard disk.

i already used fix the problems option.can i scan it once more

I have finally got my computer free of all viruses. Vundo and Vitumonde proved tricky buggers but a combination of AVG and Windows Defender meant that they no longer have a home in my laptop :) No more visiting dodgy sites sent to me on MSN by certain members ;)

Thanks for that. I scan with AVG, AVG Antispyware, Sybot Search and Destroy, Adaware 2008 and Windows Defender every week. I also never touch pop ups or those 'dodgy' sites. ;) Am I doing too much, or just being sensible? Is that a good defence strategy?

It is a good defence strategy, but it must have made your computer excruciatingly slow??

I generally disable the auto features of whatever i have (ad-aware, spybot, spyware doctor, avast/nod32), and scan manually every 10-12 days.
This way, my computer does not slow down much.
Yes, I keep avast active all times.
