BenchMark Story of the Month - A revival of old popular stories

If anyone wondering what this is supposed to be, it is simple. ;) The story which can give you some simple and standard ideas for other writers.

http://www.planetcricket.org/forums/cricket-games-stories-strategies-online-leagues/india-plays-pakistan-home-series-8875.html - Saisrini80

The story in the above link was yet another popular story during SaiSrini-MWagh's time. The stories follow simple graphics with wonderful story-lines. Hence without a doubt, it captured more readers. The bottom line is, " Be good in story lines, and you can pull the readers' attention. " ;)

Hope members like it.

Story Tip of the Month :

Though comments are very important to story writers, the writer should have patience and a good story line to pull the readers into their threads. At the start of a story, most of us are likely to struggle with lack of comments, but as the story just goes on with a strong/consistent story line, you are likely to get good feedback after that. :)

" Seed the story in strong base(storyline), and you are likely to get a good reward from readers. "

Thats all we have for this month's SOTM contest. And ya, good luck for the nominee. Hope we get more voters. :)

And as I always, feel free to PM me or Arslaan if you feel that some story has been left out or for some suggestions.

Nice to get nominated.
Good Luck to all the nominees.
All are really good ones.
Thanks Suren.:)

Nice to have such competetion i would say gary123's cricsim:IPl pc style because he is working very hard on it and deserves a win.:)

it really bugs me that the IPL PC Style and the APL, are surely both 'cricket leagues' and yet are able to remain in the cricket stories forum, i would like to know why and what the difference is, i may think about ending mine and making a new one with a whole new idea in this forum

My IPL Diary (CSK) - hedger_14

I actually love the way he presents the chapters.

I do read but don't post comments :)

If you are having story line and description, it should be in story forums. If you are managing like how they do in cricsim forums, then it should be in leagues. Just a line is the difference. Nothing big actually. The way you develop the main stuff, i.e with or without storyline matters. :)

I am not saying as wrong, but it will be helpful for we writers to get the honest feedback from readers. :)

My bad, i ll see that i post from now onwards.

But the story i voted should win, i found his story really interesting. (yet to read Gary's story)

This is a very tough competition. All 4 stories are great. Gary has put alot of hard work in his story and I am regretting not being part of it. Hedger's story is great entertainment (Remember Flintoff's incident anyone?) CG123's story is down to earth and realistic while just_cricket's story reminds us why test cricket still rocks. I am confused at the moment for who to vote but hopefully will make the decision soon.

Anyways Suren how do you actually get nominated??

@BKB, it's just efforts which matters mate. :) I have seen your story too and Gary also pointed it out. I am sure that you will get nominated for next month's contest if you keep your efforts going. Already, it has set up it's base well. :)

Look mate dont get me wrong. What I mean is that who decides the nominations? Is it the story mods? Because considering the amount of stories that we get here it is a very hard process and like i mentioned earlier all four nominations are very competitive.Although I was a bit disappointed not see your story and Pakistan Armys story get nominated I think the four that are nominated are very well deserved

Even though it was nice to see Gary's opinion I know i havent put enough effort in my story recently so I dont deserve to get nominated.

I've voted for just_cricket's story. The ICC World Test Cricket Medal. Been a great story to read and just love the hawkeye and hotspot.

Wow, its a tough and tight competition already! I hope it turns out even more interesting in next few days. :banana2 All the stories in the list deserve to lead the poll. :)
