Now, this looks really good. It's not your typical WW2 game - instead, you're in the French Resistance, doing what the FR did - namely blowing things up, ambushing Nazis and generally being a pain in the ass to the Nazis, but a great help to the Allies. It's open ended, like GTA. Has anyone played it? I can't find a PC demo anywhere, but it got a great review in PC Gamer and it's only ?15.99 at GAME.

I just read IC Chip and they give a 3/5 rating while being highly critical of it.

Well, first off 3/5 isn't that bad a rating is it? I've always trusted PC Gamer's reviews though - I think there's only been one occasion where I completely disagreed with their review of a game, that'd be Saint's Row 2 on the PC. The PC port is so messed up, it's not true. It's fine when just walking around, but as soon as you get into a car, it's stutter city.

The annoying thing is I can't find any demos for The Saboteur.

well this game is unique ,and have a great Visual style(and lots of adult content ),the best thing about this game,you can chose your way to complete a mission,i mean you can complete a mission by blasting/killing,or you can do it in stealthy process :happy

I don't think they released a demo for this game. You should probably look for gameplay videos on YouTube to get a better idea about the game.

I felt this game was better than many of the games available. Only if pandemic studios had polished a bit more. RIP pandemic.

The game will make you feel powerful. The story is laughable, but is not a detterent to the game, which does not take itself too seriously. The graphics are good in the black and white areas and OK in the colorful areas. The side missions are repetitive and in no way different than the main missions. But the gameplay is good enough not to bore you.

The main gripe is the climbing and the glitches here and there. And stealth elements are just out of place and needed more working.

Better than Red Faction Geurilla and Just Cause.It has borrowed lot of elements from GTA IV and Assassins Creed .

Isn't there a patch that sorts that out? I'm sure I read that somewhere.

Hmm... do you know if other patches are on their way? Surely if the game has an issue with such a wide range of hardware as ATI, they have to do something?

i dont think so,1st patch solved most of Major issues,but still some players getting crash in some Missions,terrible frame Rate in certain areas.so i will advice you to Rent/Borrow the game,and try it in your Pc first before buying it :help

Well, they usually give us demos of Fifa (even though the demo and game are usually crap).

So, did you notice all these problems when playing it on your brother's machine? Which ATI Card does he have? Sometimes, newer games requre the very latest drivers to work properly, it might be worth checking that the drivers are the latest ones.

well when i played the game for first time it crashed 2 or 3 times during First mission,:laugh,
then it started Crashing constantly after 1 hours game play,:doh,
after the patch,the number of crash was Reduced,but we faced a frame rate issue in specific part of city,
But still the game is full of Fun

No - not yet. I signed up for the beta yesterday just for the hell of it. Opinion is rife over in EA Sports land that we might actually get a decent Fifa game this year - the train of though goes: why recycle a game that people can now basically get for free with Fifa Online? Also, the dreaded HB Studios contract has ended - that can only be good (have they ever actually made a decent PC game?) Still, I will remain sceptical, until I see a screen, then a video and finally a demo that demonstrates a totally new game. Otherwise, EA Sports, you won't get my money this year either.
