AUSTRAL - ASIA CUP

HISTORY :

The Austral-Asia Cup was a One Day International cricket tournament held at Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The Arab cricketer, enthusiast and millionaire Abdur Rahman Bukhathir brought cricket initially to Sharjah in the mid-1980's and he masterminded a one day tournament involving Asia and Australasia's main cricketing nations - Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

The last edition of the game took place in 1994 and in the current era of cricket it has been replaced by ICC Champions trophy.

AUSTRAL - ASIA CUP (Season 1 - June 2015) :

Being a cricket enthusiast myself, I am trying to bring back cricketing nations of Australasia and Asia back into the game to run this tournament successfully. The tournament will be conducted in UAE Stadiums has per the tradition and all the players of the participating nations have accepted to join the league but unfortunately their managers are not ready to accompany the players. The players are ready to enter the league under the guidance of a new manager.... So are you up for the challenge, If yes Sign up now.......

RULES AND PERKS

POINTS TO NOTE :
  • This game is not going to free, well that's the once reason why players signed up for. I want managers to bid for each teams with vCash, the highest bidder will win the auction to manage the team (Off course you know that). I know what you are thinking:p. I wont steal your vCash, it will be returned to you has prize money.
  • I will fix a last date for auction and it will be conducted for each teams per day and not all at once.
  • The tournament will be a double round-robin with eliminators (like in IPL) and a T20 format.
  • Once auction is over, The managers need to select their final 15 member squad from the below list.
  • I have successfully updated World Cup 2015 squad in CricSim09, So I will be going with World cup Squad.
PARTICIPATION FORM :

Name/Names :
Team : (I know it is going to take place one by one but just to avoid confusions)
Bidding Amount :

PRIZE MONEY :

Wining Team Manager : 50%
Runner-up team Manager : 40%
Manager of Highest scorer : 5%
Manager of Highest wicket taker : 5%

AUCTION STANDINGS (Results on 23rd June 16:00 IST) :

Australia : @Sodium 1000vCash
India : @rohithriaz 5000vCash
New Zealand : TBA
Sri Lanka : TBA
Pakistan : TBA
Bangladesh : TBA

If I am not getting any proper response for the Auction by 23rd, vCash will be droped and current bidders will take up the team they have bid for and the remaining can just signup..

Don't worry I will not leave the winner empty handed.. I have a plan for that.. If that does not work.. I have 5000vCash which will be given to the winner and runner. (I am working sportsbook to if my vCash increase surely I will raise the prize.)

ANNOUNCEMENTS

ANNOUNCEMENT

Since there is no proper response for this series I am placing this on hold.. I am going to take the suggestion of staffs and players.. Earn some trust and name then will come back to organize this.. Will be back................

The players of 4 nations (Sri Lanka, Pakistan, New Zeland and Bangladesh ) are very disappointed that no one has come forward to manage their team yet.

All the six participating team sat down for a meeting today (21st June) around 20:00 IST to discuss their current situation. The meeting took place for 3 hours and they have come up to a conclusion.

6 Nations are ready to show their talents on the field to the upcoming managers to prove how desperate they are to carry forward with this tournament, so they have decided to conduct an AUSTRAL XI vs ASIA XI series consisting of Two T20 matches. They have decided a team upon their own placing forward the best from each team to represent their continent and region teams.

Actually to be frank, I did not copy, had this idea before but did get proper time and proper details about vCash.

Hope you promote this ... and Thanks for the Kick-off :clap:thumbs

suggestion: if you want to get more sign up than, drop vcash from the league...

I understand what you are saying, The reason I kept vCash is just to motivate everyone for a goal, I dint set any base price so you can even bid 500 or 1k and if you don't have a competitor you own it... and you win the series you make more than what you spend... I am not going take anything from this.. This way I thought it will be more interesting.

Anyway I will take up your suggestion, wait until 22nd.. If no one signs up I will give Aus to @Sodium and let other signup for the remaining.:thumbs

The oldest international sporting fixture is actually the USA v Canada cricketing rivalry. It pre-dates Test cricket by 33 years, the Ashes by 38 years, the Olympics by 52 years, the Cricket World Cup by 131 years, and finally - the Austral-Asia Cup by 142 years.

Sorry, just couldn't help myself after seeing what was written in the banner.

Its alright, I accept when I am wrong, thanks for letting me know.. I have changed it, hope it is proper now....:thumbs:cheers

Begin the auction for all the teams at once.

I will have India for $2000. Thanks.

NOTE : I am also working on my own teams in CricSim09 with World Cup 2015 squad, If I complete the squad in time, then I might go with it. Will keep you posted
