Everyone should make an effort it's the very human things to do...?
For that everyone should have an experience :D.

Absolutely! Little romantic gestures along the way is a really great thing to do for a relationship. Doesn't have to be expensive or time consuming, even a $2 greeting card from the cheap shop with a nice message, takes you all of 10 mins and everyone will be happier for it. Sometimes I forget, but I try to do something along those lines every 3 weeks or so..

It's kind of the opposite of this, but when I was travelling around Europe I stopped in Lyon and shared a dorm with a rather lovely Australian lass whose name I need not reveal here. We were both staying at the hostel for the next three days; she was then staying in the city for a few months to study, while I was carrying on with my travels for a bit then moving to Wales.

Unusually, we ended up the only two people in our four-man dorm (a surprise to me, as it's an absolute worldie of a hostel) so we ended up chilling together for quite a bit of the time we were there, and found that we got on really well. On the final evening, I decided to take her out for dinner so we went to a pleasant pizzeria where I got to show off my French-speaking skills while she got to show off her beer-choosing skills. After dinner, we enjoyed a walk through the city back to the hostel.

Of course, we were both moving on, so I went off feeling slightly sad to have a shower so as to get an early night ready for my morning train. When I came back from the shower, she'd gone off to have a shower of her own, but she gone out and bought a jumbo cookie which was now on my bed waiting for me.

It's such a small thing, but genuinely the loveliest gesture I've ever received.

Was it a romantic gesture? I've no idea, but if it was then geography is a bitch.

That's very sweet, not all about sex. But the gestures we do to make another human being feeling welcome (there's a hint there to all the boys)

I don't believe in romance or love or affection etc so I've never been romantic but I do what I can to get what I want

Well, I could introduce you to my friends if you lived local however, if you was from New Zealand I'm sure one of the nearby fields would satisfy... Unless you like them drenched...?

I know you're from NSW so I feel romance isn't dead, get on the horse (not in it).
